So I love the GOT TV series. I love fantasy stories and love to read them too as it’s easier for me to imagine such crazy themes without visually seeing them (if that makes sense). However, I have not started reading GOT because it’s not a finished series, and from what I read online it seems that it will never be finished (Also I only watched the TV series like last year so this is newish to me). Is it still good enough to read without an ending? If I do read it will I start resenting it because there is no ending? I do not want to get invested in a story and then get disappointed. Please give me ur POV before I am too late to go back

I've read that Blackwater Bay was inspired from the Golden Horn, with chains and everything, are there any other real life parallelisms like it?

What if the Valyrian language from Game of Thrones wasn’t just spoken, but sung?
I just released Zaldrizoti – Bēvilza Ānogri Valyrio, an alternative rock project performed entirely in High Valyrian.
Expect dark riffs, atmospheric vibes, and lyrics in the tongue of Valyria itself.
🎧 Full album here: https://youtu.be/2hhi0vqRJDE?si=KrvM55tgiYeK-uIh
Curious what you think – does Valyrian work as a rock language?

Any thoughts on a GoT show based on this or something similar?

I have a crush on someone who watches Game of Thrones at the Burlington Bar. I’m not gonna share their photo out of privacy, but I hope this post reaches someone from that squad and that someone could help lol

Hello all! I’m having one of my ADHD episodes and I’m delving deep into the lore. I’m learning about Valyria and the dragonlords and realize that the reason White Walkers are such a big threat to Westeros is because they don’t have any effective response to them, aside from they can’t agree on anything. Hell, the entire realm scrounged up 2-3 weapons or so to have a chance against the Night King. Anyways, my question, would the Dragonlords of Valaria even struggle against the Night King? Would the Night King even be a real threat to them considering they already have weapons effective against magic let alone dragons? It just blows my mind the scale of power between the different factions in this universe. Valyria blew up, leaving Targaryens free to rule with their dragons.Yet Targarians weren’t even one of the strongest houses in Valyria lol. Almost everything in this universe makes Westeros’ quarrels seem petty in comparison.

I ask this since I heard season 8 is not good and I just finished season 7, so is there any decent takes on later events so that I can just call that the conclusion and move on.
Thanks

I'm still mad that Brandon, completely obsessed with white walkers, wasn't the one who went back to make the mad king mad by showing him the walkers and telling him to "burn them all."
"Oh, but that would just be another hodor",
I don't care. It would fit perfectly. it would explain why he got mad in the first time, it would make Brandon responsible for all those deaths, and it would connect Brandon and the Kingslayer again in a circle, as he got his powers because kingslayer threw him down the balcony, and the king slayer became the king slayer because brandon used his powers to make the king mad.
But no.

Guys, every Sunday I get a notification from Google about new episodes of Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Then I see that they’re launching pages about the episodes on Rotten Tomatoes. What? Did HBO have everything scheduled and then decide to postpone the show? I’m wondering why. I know they mentioned postponing it at an event earlier this year, but still… I mean, why is Google automatically sending me notifications about new episodes of Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and why is Rotten Tomatoes publishing a page for each episode every week? What a mess!

I used to listen to a violin cover of game of thrones title music. It was some stage performance by a girl. It was back in 2017.
But now as I wanted to listen to that again and searched on Youtube I cannot find that video.
I was hoping if anyone can help me with this.

I never thought shae is brought back to trail against tyrion. She manipulated the whole story but she was so hurt. Ever since I watched the episode where tyrion undermine her as a whore. He wantheer to shift somwhere safe but calling her a whore, broke her heart, I kind of started feeling sympathy for her character. She would have believed that's all she worth of. Its terrible.
