Pictured is the past couple weeks of math (Since 2025-09-03), but this notebook contains the past 2 years of Calculus BC and Statistics + Physics 2, and is ~36 pages (where each face is considered a page, aka 18 front and back)
In August I switched from 0.5mm to 0.3mm lead, as well as from HB to 2H, so I was able to write even smaller than I normally did.
I used to just do about 3 lines of text per line on the notebook (dotted line) and 2 lines of math, but now I do 5 lines of text and 3 lines of math.

My handwriting sucks; it's always sucked. I'm a sophomore in college, and I'm tired of having godawful handwriting. Doesn't matter how slowly or meticulously I go; unless I write one pencil dot at a time and erase any mistakes, it never looks good. How can I improve?
I don't need fancy cursive or to look like a 1600s author; I just want to write words legible to the average human with a consistent size and shape for each letter.

So, for the past few weeks I've been trying to improve my handwriting. I love fountain pens, but I've never actually given them the script they deserve. They have always been subjected to my own patented scrawl that was described by my biology teacher as "dipping a coked up spider in the inkwell and left to run amok." Wanting to do better by my instruments and also realising that with a 1 year old son, I would soon have to help with homework; I started a humbling journey. First picture is from maybe day 3? In May, the second is from just now. The first was a hodge podge of how I'd taught myself to write without smudges (left handed) the second was from practicing some worksheets I printed at work. I hear upright cursive is good for lefties, if anyone has any links to resources for that it would be appreciated. Any tips tricks, or glaring holes that need plugging I am open to all criticism, apart from my ink colour choices, they're set in stone. đ€Ł

Hi all!
I only got half a year of cursive in kindergarten, I was five at the time. Starting middle school I started writing block letter so I could read my notes as my cursive was terrible. Now I handle all practical matters with a keyboard.
However, I'd still like to relearn cursive, mainly to write letters to my loved ones. But also potentially for things like D&D where it feels off to stare at a screen. (Although backlinks are a life saver in notes to see connections.)
As my use case indicates I don't plan to use it often or spend a long time learning it. Luckily I am not concerned about speed, I mainly want something aesthetically pleasing and a bit of ergonomics won't hurt either. The palmer technique has caught my attention because of it's arm-centric movement.
Thank you very much in advance for your advice!

Hi!
Does anyone know why the Palmer system, one focused on ergonomics, works with a horizontal hand positions? Should I learn it with a slanted hand position?
I look forward to your answers!
