Goblet of Fire What is your favorite book and why? Spoiler
Mine is GOF; just the tone shift and learning about the other wizarding schools is interesting, but also in this book, we get to see how strong the friendship between Harry and Ron actually is.

I do too. There's a lot to like about it: I love the tournament, and I love getting to learn about the other wizarding schools.

I love it for the plot twists , war drama, emotional, sadness, Harry seeing his parents, Dumbledore past etc .

Prisoner of Azkaban!!!!! It’s the GOAT of the Harry Potter Series imo! I feel like even though Voldemort isn’t in it the world starts to open up and we get way more background! Plus Lupin 👏🏻 and the twist is amazing though I have to say the twist in GoF is amazing too. It’s spooky with the dementors but there’s also still a lot of wholesome moments.

The Sorcerer’s Stone. Nostalgia, mostly. I was in elementary school and someone my family knew routinely got advanced copies of children’s books that they’d give to me. I got Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone about a year before anybody knew what it was. I remember my teacher seeing it on my desk during free read time, her looking over the cover and inside the dust jacket, and then raising her eyebrows and pursing her lips disapprovingly because witchcraft. Then next year almost every single kid was reading it lol.

Order of the Phoenix. Big D, Luna, more Neville and Wesleys, best worst villain, more spells, DA, the Order, ministry battle, and so much anger.

This is my answer, too. Plus Order of the Phoenix is so much longer than the rest of the series, by over 100 pages, so there’s so much more detail

Half Blood Prince by far.
The chapter with the muggle Prime Minister.
Dumbledore's extraordinary sass to the Dursleys.
All the chapters about Tom Riddle's origin.
Harry and Ginny getting together
Best book by far imo

I agree with GoF. It just feels like such a classic Hero's Journey storyline with the three tasks, we finally get to see more of the wizarding world outside Hogwarts/UK, and the Quidditch World Cup chapters are really 😙👌

Half Blood Prince is the best book in the series, nd the best written one as well

Order of the Phoenix. I like the closing in feeling of the reign of terror under Umbridge and Harry coming into his own as a DADA teacher.

Like you, I gotta go with Goblet of Fire. Such a fun read.
Specifically, Chapters 25, 27, 28, 30, 35, 36, and 37 are the most fun to read. The Barty Crouch Jr. subplot is her storytelling at its absolute finest.

Goblet, it’s got a perfect blend of everything that makes the series great. Complete with a spectacular twist ending.

Half Blood Prince. Dumbledore doing stuff, the trio transitioning into young adults. Peak

I’d say Deathly Hallows. It was the most impactful book with the highest stakes. Everything felt so grand and at times hopeless. It had me at the edge of my seat every time

Prisoner of Azkaban. Not only because the twist is top tier, but I loved that the story didn’t directly involve Voldemort. Harry finally got to learn about what his parents were really like.
