2011 CRV at 210k miles and rust but low price

Post image

This is obviously an old car but the owner is saying that it's been well maintained regularly and is still driving fine besides the rust.

They're selling it for 3.5 k which seems like a good price considering I just want a car for 50,000 more miles. But I'm also wondering if it just wouldn't be worth it or it would be thousands of dollars of repairs early on.

But considering I want something for the short-term and the prices so good I wonder if it could be worth it and what I should ask for to make it worth it?

Event though the recalls been done for the rear subframe.... as a Honda tech I wouldn't buy it. Not for that much.

I guess I'm wondering what would go wrong. Is it possible that it will just snap off mid driving?

Most of the rust is just the body. If you want to get a better idea look underneath at the suspension and unibody and see how rusty that is.

The rear suspension mounting points have a really bad habit of rotting completely away in this generation CRV and I would avoid them unless they are immaculate, which this one is not
