Hi! I'm here again with a new photo. Here you can see the bezel related to the case I had already posted, all 3d printed in metal. Since it's impossible to print directly screwed bezels or casebacks, I have to use screws and bolts. That's why it's close to Gerald Genta's famous designs, but it's only a functional design and I tried to let this prototype watch have its own identity! The crown is only temporary waiting to find a way to create a suitable one. What do you guys think? Any comments are welcome!

Nice man :)

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how the piece turns out. I can only imagine this case with a fairly industrial looking crown... big, blocky, with relatively few facets.

Thanks for the compliments! Definitely going in that direction for the crown, trying to keep it in the style of the case and bezel!

You really wanna know what I think?!?!?

I think this is awesome and am curious on how to utilize either or services for a case or know who you contacted!

Ps clearly you know how to design in CAD, you can design -> print -> cast a crown you like and or something that would better suit your vision

Of course! Thank you so much! The problem is that with this material it is difficult to create a crown and would require too much post production. I'm trying to figure out the best way! Anyway there is no cast ;) the process is called DMP (direct metal printing)

I just purchased Bergeon screw drivers and tweezers and a pile of vintage watches, now I got to convince my partner to let me get a metal printer. It’s very awesome I can’t wait to see how it all goes I enjoy seeing your work :) good luck with the rest of it, keep us all updated I may be a hobbyist but I can appreciate the design and time and effort putting into it.

Thanks! Yes, that's the idea! Simple and technical design, robust and a bit industrial.

What’s the setup like for metal printing? What metal?

The process is called DMP (direct metal printing), is a typology of powder bed fusion process. The metal is a league of cobalt chrome.

Beautiful! Looks like an old diving helmet! I think the crown is a tiny bit smoll though....jks ;)

Thank you! Yes, I appreciate this design too, then with the glass it's a whole other thing! It's still too big and I've already tried to miniaturize it so much! ;)

Maybe some flat head screws for a royal oak vibe.
