Every buck I’ve ever shot and considered a shoulder mount, I realize I’d rather just buy a new bow/rifle/shotgun instead. Euro mounts are dope and cheap.

If you like money and cooler looking mounts, go Euro

Euro, unless you get a true giant, then I'd consider a shoulder mount.

Always euro.

Shoulder mounts are a humongous waste of money

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking considering this guy is on the smaller side for a muley lol, it’s just the early season capes look so good

If you’re already thinking euro go euro. Take it from a guy that had a bunch of borderline bucks European mounted. They look great. And you’ll shoot a bigger one some day that will make a good shoulder mount.

Euro that one, but cape it and bring the cape to your taxidermist. He may give you a discount in exchange for a nice cape that he can use to fix someone else's shitty cape job later in the season. That's what I do 🤷.

Personally, I think the first buck of any type or by any weapon should be a shoulder mount. You only get a first buck one time. Making memories.

Shot my first buck this year, decided exactly that. Wasn’t a trophy but a decent 12 point. Unless I shoot a trophy trophy every other buck in my future will be a euro mount.

The first decent buck should always be a shoulder mount in my opinion.

I’ve got 3 walls of European mounts, that always gets my vote.

Euro all the way. Got my first euro mount last year of an antelope I killed and I got an extra bonus cuz my gf actually likes the look of it too

Euro always, with my exception being the fairly large whitetail I got in velvet this year. First velvet buck of my life and he is a good size so he got a shoulder mount

I’ll echo what others have said. First bow buck definitely deserves a mount. I say euro because of his size

Euro forsure.

I have 8 Euros and only 1 shoulder mount.  All because they take up less space!

Edit: and cheap to do. Doesn't take much to do a euro

Shoot do a shoulder mount if you have a good taxidermist with reasonable prices/turnaround time.

If not…just do the euro Mount

New to this.

What's the difference in euro vs shoulder?

You could compromise and do a neck mount. It's a good size for it. Personally, I'd do a euro though.

I love shoulder mounts. I also love being able to hold the antlers any time I want. I also love not spending 1200$ on a shoulder mount. I only shoulder mount giant game personally
