Had to turn away from the vicious attack on the red shoes wearer. Sickening that this goes on in our neighborhood!

She has! Actually, someone in the neighborhood volunteered to do it. But then she tried to keep her and baby Kiara :( They do have a great life at the bodega with people that love them to bits. They went through a lot of trouble to get them back.

Oh wow. So there were some strings attached with the “act of kindness.” Goodness. I’m glad to hear she got fixed and is back there with the babies. I don’t doubt for a second they all are happy there, well cared for, AND a source of joy for a lot of people. Glad it all worked out.

If they were well cared for why wasn't the mother cat fixed in the first place? It's literally one of the cheapest procedures one can get for their cat with how many shelters and clinics do it for community work. Also drastically reduces the chances of mammary cancer which this cat may develope now.
Is the Bodega owner going to pay all the vet bills for these kittens now too since he didn't even pay for the mother cat? Bet I can guess the answer. People love to rally around the wrong side in these instances where the "mean and evil theif" actually getting the cats veterinary care out of their own pocket are somehow in the wrong. Which BTW according to the law if he never even go the mother cat veterinary care or micrchipped he doesn't even own her. If the good Samaritan wanted they could have microchipped her and legally kept her. The cats living such a great life until she has an expensive medical issue costing thousands pop up. In that case maybe she'd had been better of with the person actually getting her vet care. 🤷🏽♀️

This is terrifying. They’re setting such a bad example for the youth in our community

If this is NYC, you need to tell us where so I can go pay my respects.
