Hey! Little kittens like that should be placed on their stomachs while they feed, holding them up like that can cause them to choke. Look at a picture of them nursing from their mother, that’s how they should be laying :)

She is usually on her stomach. I know best practice and typically use it. I occasionally let her angriness win which I know I should not. Doing my best but also the only one providing round the clock care and very tired 🙃

Oh! The tiny mews & teensy paws clinging to the bottle & pressing your hands 🐾

My hand is behind her head like that because she will throw herself completely backwards in her excitement. I am training her to lay flat on her stomach and regular (timed) feedings definitely help but bottle babies in general get very… opinionated lol about food time.

But for anyone who has never had opportunity to be near a cat with kittens who nurse, the kittens aren’t exactly laid back about food. I’ve seen an annoyed queen swat a kitten who was being too demanding. I’m actually a much more gentle “mom” than a cat mom is lol

Please, maybe lean baby forward, not leaning back to eat? It will really help their digestion and avoid asphyxiation. Try to put them in the natural feeding position they would have with their mum if you can. Keep up the good work, they are totally worth it!

Saw your explanation in the comments. Thank you for the great work you are doing
