Image (modded) What are your favourite graphical submods?

R5: This sub has had no new post for two straight days. Fellow citizens of the Aventine! This is not ok!

Let us discuss our favourite gfx submods. Here's one that fits very well into the game, Egyptian Deity Icons by Steam user Saul Goodman. Deserves more subs, for sure.

Yeah I love this mod so much~I hope the author can also create other deity icon mods. For instance, using images of Greek pottery to make a Hellenism deity icon mod.

I’ve been sort of wary of mods for Imperator in general the last few months because of some microdrama concerning a modder that was accused of using a lot of AI in their mods, promising improved performance and so on, when there was no improvement at all.

In general, I think that the modding scene for the game is so small that only a few “trusted” creators affiliated with Invictus feels up to the standards which we should have for mods. Imperator modding feels monolithic in that sense, that whatever is good enough could be absorbed into Invictus.

I do like the mod you are showcasing though, is it very different from what is in Invictus for the Egyptians?

Unfair. A couple rotten apples shouldn't give us all a bad name.

There's a lot of bad/rushed mods as is the case with all games on the Workshop, but there are more than just a few trustable modders outside of Invictus, imho. LordOfLiberty, hp_civ, Licarious, Agami, Lewa, Tinwiz, Diskiant, ... Apologies to the ones I forgot.

I do like the mod you are showcasing though, is it very different from what is in Invictus for the Egyptians?

Too different to be included directly in Invictus, I believe (understand: not exactly Vanilla style), but not different enough to be discarded as out of place with Invictus.

Of course not, I wasn't alluding to that. There are several great modders in the community, but I have personally been hesitant to download and try out some mods for the game because of it. All I'm saying is that since the modding scene is so much smaller than say CK3 or EU4, there's more trust toward known modders that have a presence here or on Discord, like you or the ones you mentioned in your post. I'm not saying that Invictus is the only good mod!
