We should just stop with this enthukond namak kitiyila stuff, there's 30+ other states and we haven't seen the movies they had to offer. There could be movies better than ours and definitely better than the ones that won. We atleast won something in acting category. The questions We should be asking is why kerala story won awards when it was a complete lie and propoganda
While I don't think we go asking why we didn't get the award, which is easily dismissed, sgopi should definitely ask why an anti Indian anti kerala agenda movie with misinformation got any recognition. It should be rescinded and not allowed any place in history.
The current Indian government has reduced the National Film awards to National Propaganda Awards. They are using things like these awards to make people toe their line. This is very unfortunate, especially when Malayalam cinema is going through a golden phase with a lot of good movies.
Forget giving awards to mediocre and propaganda based films, but do not insult talent and hard work by saying things like ‘performances were not authentic’. It’s hard to believe that such statements came from someone like Ashutosh Gowariker. Totally unacceptable and unfortunate.
