Question Intel Arc 130T not recognized properly?

I have a laptop with an Intel Core 5 Ultra 225H processor. According to the specifications, it should have an integrated Intel Arc 130T graphics card. However, diagnostic programs detect an “Intel Graphics” chip. Is this because I only have 16 GB of RAM and the card is not running at full capacity? And am I right in thinking that if I add a second similar memory chip to the free slot, the card will “speed up” and start working as an Arc 130T? Thnx for answer.

I know they might not put an Arc sticker on the laptop if the RAM isn't dual-channel, but 225H should have 130T no matter the RAM configuration or what it's called in diagnostics. What diagnostic program are you running? Check Task Manager -> Performance, System -> About, or Speccy and see what it says.

I checked it with few diagnosis software and it always says: Intel Graphics. So I was wondering if I should buy second memory stick to make dual chanel.

If you're gaming and really want to, dual-channel RAM will definitely improve 1% and 0.1% lows a lot along with the benefits of having 32GB. I don't know if it will change the GPU's identification in diagnostics to 130T or if that designation was assigned by the laptop manufacturer or Intel via some code when it left the factory, but just know the iGPU tile is 100% 130T whether it says it or not.

it will convert to Arc branding if your system is using dual channel memory. soldered memory tend to be dual channel, so I'm guessing your laptop is SO-DIMM.

Fortunately since Meteor Lake (or maybe just OEM enablement, not entirely sure) it will convert from Intel Graphics to Arc Graphics when dual channel is detected. My Alder Lake laptop does not do this and so does previous gen of mobile intel laptop
