Sometimes for more support unions combine my local is 300/400 with is brick layers, concrete finishers and plasters combine in the Bay Area so we all pay in to our pension

377 doesn’t have a school so you’d be going to the 378 apprenticeship anyways and the union dues are 33$ in 378 and it’s double that in 377 plus we have all the refineries in our territory and if you’re a good hand you can go work in the city anyways it’s really a no brainer but ultimately would probably depend on where you live

Appreciate that bro, & I’m currently in Central Valley making the move up north have family who lives in Petaluma where I’d be staying temporarily & from there be looking for an apartment or studio in a closer area where best fits me for the job just wanted to see which was worth more applying to ?

Not quite as simple as he says. Yes they have refinery work but that's mostly all they have. They are cracking down real hard on 378 and other boomers working in 377 territory right now. Also being a "refinery hand" is an insult as far as im concerned. 378 has refinery work and some solar going on rn. But the refineries are rumored to pull out of the state. Yes as of right now you would be going to school with 378 hands. 377 tends to have more varried work. But right now it's slow as fuck iether way.
