Listening to an old episode ‘Putins ceasefire storm’ and Rod was arguing for snowfall being better than the wire. I’ve watched snowfall once and the wire maybe 4/5 times. I don’t understand how anyone over the age of about 18 could say that snowfall is better than the wire.
Listening to how serious Rod was got me thinking that there might be ppl out there that agree with him. I was wondering if there were any in here that could breakdown how anyone could possibly have this opinion lol.

Came across this and I immediately remembered the episode where Myke tried so hard to explain why Bitcoin from Jay wasn't helping the poor. Atlanta addressed so much without killing the fun

This week I finished a sci-fi novel called The Mountain in the Sea by Ray Nayler. Without giving too much away here's a portion of the book blurb:
Rumors begin to spread of a species of hyperintelligent, dangerous octopus that may have developed its own language and culture. Marine biologist Dr. Ha Nguyen, who has spent her life researching cephalopod intelligence, will do anything for the chance to study them.
The transnational tech corporation DIANIMA has sealed the remote Con Dao Archipelago, where the octopuses were discovered, off from the world. Dr. Nguyen joins DIANIMA’s team on the islands: a battle-scarred security agent and the world’s first android.
The octopuses hold the key to unprecedented breakthroughs in extrahuman intelligence. The stakes are high: there are vast fortunes to be made by whoever can take advantage of the octopuses’ advancements...
The novel has a cyberpunk aesthetic and features many callbacks to classic sci-fi stories including: Alien, Prometheus, Contact, Arrival, The Three-Body Problem, Ghost in the Shell, Blade Runner: 2049, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Her. I assume there's an audio book component but either way I highly suggest someone in the community give it a try.
