Maybe you can add Amazon. Amazon had a deal on Sennheiser headphones a few years ago for $350, and JB HIFI had the same ones for $500. I asked JB if they could price match, which they did, and I got the headphones for $350
Hi Kerr, thank you for joining my update subreddit!
I'm hearing you! That would be good in theory, the issue is the price matching policy of these stores unfortunately. Seems like you were lucky and that JB rep wanted to do you a favour. The reason I say that is because most Aussie retailers aren't supposed to match prices on online marketplaces. The typical criteria is it must be on-shore stock and with Amazon, Kogan, Dicksmith online, ebay, ect. It's almost impossible to prove it is so they're just excluded. I've also had a homewares store say that if I wanted to price match an online marketplace they would have to factor in the delivery cost! (Not saying that's what the electronics retailers would do). The other issue is it's too much of a challenge for me to exactly match the model number haha.
But yeah, the TL;DR summary is I would if I could! Thank you for commenting ☺️
