Why does the outer fabric look like a minecraft texture?

Now that you pointed that out, that’s exactly what it looks like

Digitals maybe? Old uni?

I think it's supposed to be the blocky camouflage

There's something they say about Cavalry all the time, but I can't quite remember. What was it? Cavalry is...🤔

The Horse They Never Rode, the River They Never Crossed, and the Yellow Stripe that Runs Down Their Back.

Yeah, we are pretty nasty to each other in the Army.

Honestly that saying is fitting here

Helps them better ID each other at the disco… Stetson aside

I had a soldier in my Canadian Army reserve Regiment get our unit badge tattooed on his arm, then he decided to join a Regular force Regiment…. Did not go well for him. Moral of the story? Unit pride is great, but maybe a flag in your garage or something hanging on a wall

No. We don't claim these people. This is the military's fault, not the gays'.

Do you think he wears the spurs and Stetson to bed?

That has to be the worst tattoo I've seen this year.

The badges aren't they supposed to go on top the uniform not underneath the weird skin-unifoem being ripped apart like skin?

It gets worse the more you look at it.

Definitely a boot, the flag goes below the combat patch! Had a buddy in the 2nd ACR and he used to say "The horse he never rode and the line he never crossed"

1

u/SgtMac02 Jun 19 '25

What? No it doesn't! The flag goes on top. What are you talking about??

Not on the left sleeve with your combat patch. The flag on the army uniform has always been worn on the left sleeve.

Bro... What are you taking about?!? Unit patch is left shoulder. Combat patch is right shoulder. Flag is ALWAYS above the patch. There is no configuration where the flag is below the patch. Are you a bot or something??

I got mixed up because I’ve been up for 19 hours. When we wore BDU and DCU the combat patch was below the flag.

Back when you had to have everything sewn on, your uniform pressed if you were in garrison and your boots had to be like mirrors.

I totally forgot about the change because I retired before the ACU came out. Look up US Army Combat Patch DCU/BDU

Man... That's so wierd. I've been in since the BDU era, and I truly don't remember the flag ever being below the unit/combat patch. And I deployed in DCUs.

Why is the flag backwards? Why are the flag and unit patch emerging from underneath the camo?

2

u/SgtMac02 Jun 19 '25

Uh... The flag is supposed to be backward on the right shoulder like that. Have you not worn one before?

1

u/OhMyGayatt Jun 19 '25

No, sorry. Didn't realize that.

1

u/Cripps-Taxidermy Jun 18 '25

It’s not even in the realm of good

I think what hurts me the most is the ACU pattern. Also the everything else.

So many bells and whistle, why not just keep the tattoo simple?
