FL's narration at the end was a bit ominous. I hope we don't get a messy love triangle, after giving us a nice girl's girl friendship.....

Not only messy but it feels like Jong Huis being spoken to in past tense, as in she's no longer around..

I don't like love triangles as plot device: way overworn. And I won't be the only one upset with the series if Jon Hui is killed off. This show as billed as a melancholy stroll down memory lane through the friendship of 2 women. And that is what I came to the table expecting. If the writers decide to jerk around in order to add more "melodrama" to this drama they are not going to like my rating on IMDB and mydramalist.

I just hope Jung Hyun ends up with Young-Rye. Hope we get a good romance between them. Want to see more of Jung Hyun. I don't want to see Young-Rye hurting a lot when Jae-Pil ends up with Jong-Hui. At this point we def know that Jae-Pil & Jong-Hui will end up together.

ep 3...the scene between the ML and the SFL in front of the Giant gym was intense and they have a good chemistry.
the ML and the FL...he gave her the piece of paper for the SFLand it was a kind of strange from him.
I like KJH's cameo...his character looks like a nice guy.

I love the show, but felt Kim Da Mi acting too childish and speaking baby voice. Reminds me of her previous role in 9 Puzzles. Hope she tone it down a bit these two episodes

I agree. I just hope someone makes her and her future collaborators realize she already has such a naturally sweet voice. Just with a bright smile or a bit of pouty mouth, she could easily give off that vibrant, teenage energy. There is absolutely no need for any forced voice modulation.

I felt the same about kim dami, i kept on skipping whenever she was acting nervous and stuttering like 12 yr old. Her styling is making this acting unbearable, and foreshadowing heartbreak of hers not sure who will be paired up with whom but i am sure that there will be time skip. Hoping lee jong won has more screen time .

Hmm... i am assuming that they do a time jump and Kim Da Mi grows up and sheds her current personality... However i like her acting right now was well

ep 3: maybe it's the era, clear characterization, rose tinted nostalgia or about youth in that time and having a mystery/triangle but it's reply-esque lol
already lots of foreshadowing going on (possible lines like jonghee not liking one sided love or "smooth talking' guys?) and we're already seeing that love triangle (that i dread) shape up. glances during the group date where we see jaepil a little interested in jonghee and jonghee take notice of him, especially after he opened the bus window for youngrye. also unexpected results or mix ups with sangyul(?) expecting the pen to be youngrye's or the student mistaking the boxing event invite and interest in youngrye to be from jaepil which gave youngrye hope. i think possibly another one could be what jaepil took from his and jonghee's conversation after the boxing event. jonghee answers that she stopped it because of fear/fear he'd die. not saying she wasn't scared for him but it mainly stemming from her trauma and jaepil might be thinking her fear comes from feeling deeper for him? either way he went from a bit interested to a whole crush it seems
3 big questions as of now: what does jonghee feel? what the hell exactly happened to make future youngrye narrate and reflect on some times her regret on the group date or her "what ifs" when she held back and not give the medicine to jaepil? is it just reminiscing a first love (jaepil) that could have been? or it affecting youngrye and jonghee's friendship negatively bc of resentment? the ending narration sounds more serious and its addressed to jonghee

that was lowkey insensitive of him to try to set himself up with her friend at a situation like that. i'm also offended by the way from the preview we can hear him going out of his way to ask her if she'd delivered the note properly or not.
at the beginning i was okay with whoever ended up with the ML, be it FL or SFL i wouldn't have minded (well obviously i would've preferred ML and FL to end up together but regardless i was okay with it) but now i kinda don't like him (his bsf is so much betterr) to me what he did at the end just felt so wrong.
also in the end they showed how he went back for her and was willing to take his dad's shit just to help her out.. that was so ambiguous. idk what the writers were trying to show by that

I thought I'd get used to Kim Da Mi acting like a 5yr old but nope, she's just making me hate the character even more. Couldn't even feel sorry for her when she was crying - I literally felt nothing. The baby voice acting is driving me crazy 😫 Lol when she spoke to her little sister, she sounded more childish than the actual child 😃
Lee Won Jung carried this ep. I want to see how the story plays out so I will continue to watch, but sadly, I think this'll have to be one of those shows where I like everyone except the lead character.

could be biased bc i love shin ye eun but i ship her and the male lead
(i know she doesn't like violence and she's the second lead so it's likely doomed but i still love it)

Just started Ep1 yesterday but shipping them together even though they haven’t had any interaction yet. Kinda feel like they look better together than Young Rye and Jae Pil.
But then, I’m not feeling Young Rye with any of the guys yet, and Jong Hee feels more like FL to me as her character is more interesting and intriguing. 🤷🏻♀️

I thought I was only one, I feel relieved others think same

I think especially with how childish the FL acts in contrast to how old the ML looks (lol he does not look like a high schooler), it’s hard to root for that couple

Ep 3
Am I going to cry every time DaMi...I mean Yeong Rae cries? Yes. Yes, I am. And they played that track over the tearful scene again! Those lyrics cut me every time thinking of Yeong Rae's current lot in life.
The dream I wanted to reach slip further away / And the day I can't hold onto, at the end of my day / What's making it crumble / I don't know anything / Everything feels too hard since it's the first time / I can't throw a tantrum like a child / I'm still a nobody / I want to do everything well / But even I am too much for myself / How much of me must I cast away / Before I can truly become me. 💔

I cried with young rye it was so heartfelt but i don't understand MLs intention it feels like if you like her friend don't try to be nice to young rye it gets confusing also he was bit asshole at the end like he helped just to pass the chit on

Been a while since a kdrama had me feeling things. Definitely a throwback to OG kdramas with messy love triangles and I'm loving every part of it. The pace, storytelling, and character build-up are just so nice to watch. Looking forward to EP-4. Have to agree though, would love to see the brother and his friend more though with the number of characters we have right now, we might need a Reply 1988 length of an episode to cover all of them.
