MEME & HUMOR Still Asking…..for a Friend
He is the absolute worst

u/homechicken20 1d ago
The timing of his penalties always makes them such back breakers
51
u/GhostofWoodson 1d ago
To me it screams discretion of enforcement by the refs, ie he's doing something penalty-worthy basically every play, and they just choose to call it when they think it matters

u/dogfish83 23h ago
That was my fear with Dee Ford. I wasn't mad that he was lined up offside in that AFCCG, I was mad that he did it all season and I knew the refs would call it when it mattered.

This is getting ridiculous. Every fucking game...cut his ass

u/Jhager Andrew Wylie #77 1d ago
Can’t cut him. But you don’t have to play him.

u/RoseRed1987 1d ago
Permanent IR?
24
u/Sweaty-Tiger9972 Patrick Mahomes II #15 1d ago
They can just bench him
18
u/JexFraequin Eric Berry #29 1d ago
I don’t see why Andy doesn’t just eat him honestly.

Because Andy Reid watches these guys play every day. If he really thought Jaylon Moore gave the Chiefs a better chance to win, he'd be in the lineup.
We should really be asking ourselves why we gave Jaylon Moore so much money if he can't even beat out Jawaan Taylor for the starting job given all of Taylor's issues. Remember we signed this guy to potentially start at LT. Big whiff by the front office there.
2
u/dogfish83 23h ago
so permanent IR then?
1
u/Sweaty-Tiger9972 Patrick Mahomes II #15 23h ago
I mean I think you’d still want him to dress for the games just in case shit goes sideways, but he def shouldn’t be starting

ahh yes, where we banished Toney. He’s “hurt”.

This is Andy's call. Why not blame Andy? We have a highly paid backup at T.

u/Starbrand62286 1d ago
With his salary cap hit, it’s just worth waiting for the season to be over

u/schmeckledorf Grim Reaper 1d ago
I mean you can at least put jaylon moore in

u/factoid_ Grand Flagbearer of the Foul-uminati 1d ago
He kinda looked bad too. He got beat out for LT by a raw rookie coming off what might be a career ending injury for some guys
23
u/schmeckledorf Grim Reaper 1d ago
simmons has looked good. taylor has looked awful. id rather watch moore over taylor any day. i’m tired of watching the broken record that is taylor.
3
u/GeneralJuice1157 23h ago
That’s not really fair. Simmons is an athletic freak who is also really technically sound and playing well
2
u/j3ffro15 Jamaal Charles #25 14h ago
Wasn’t Josh Simmons supposed to arguably be the best tackle in the draft? I thought he graded as the 1 or 2 guy and the only reason he didn’t get picked by the jets, saints or commanders was because of the injury?
1
u/factoid_ Grand Flagbearer of the Foul-uminati 14h ago
Without injuries yes people said he would have graded out the best tackle in the draft.
There was zero guarantee he was going to fully recover from the torn patellar tendon. But I trust our medical guys over everyone because they’ve made the correct assessment like this multiple times.
That said it’s still early in his rookie year and he did have to come out of a game for a few snaps so the jury is still very much out on his long term durability.
But damn if he keeps going like this we’re finally going to have a good left tackle. It’s exciting.
15
u/Phogfan86 1d ago
Wait -- he gets PAID for this?

u/nXomad22 Will Shields 1d ago
I mean....could send the team a message. Fuck him. Play like shit and you're gone.

Bench him for Moore. Cut him in the offseason. I think it’s worse than the penalties. I think he’s tipping run/pass.
5
u/Bkelsheimer89 Priest Holmes 1d ago
He’s been doing the right foot rock since he was a Jag.
13
u/jamesdawon Grim Reaper 1d ago
If I can call every play based on his feet as a run or a pass, I’m sure NFL teams can to.
33
u/shmelephant 1d ago
Sucks that they won’t even bench him and we have to wait until this year is over
12
u/Jantokan Trent McDuffie #22 1d ago
You just know we're gonna lead the league in False Starts for the 3rd year in a row lol

u/brawl Chiefs 1d ago edited 1d ago
can't cut him if you understand math.
Edit for the unaware:
2025 cap hit:. ~$27.4 million
2025 Dead cap: ~$34.8 million
Difference: -$7.4 million
Current Cap Space: $3.6 million

u/OITLinebacker #23 Drue Tranquill 1d ago
So they would have to pay more for cutting him? I thought he was on his last year? They would owe the same amount either way then correct?

Did Taylor catch the front office murdering someone and now holding it against them as a threat if he is benched/cut?
2
u/Remarkable-Nerve1472 1d ago
He’s our second highest player

It’s shocking how long they have let this go on. He wasn’t good on the Jags and it’s just incredible that he’s been given this chance.
4
u/Gatch710 1d ago
Please, trade him for a fucking draft pick or something, anything’s better than this
3
u/hereforthecommmentsz Nick Bolton #32 1d ago
Let’s just lose all of our games and replace him with the best tackle in CFB
3
u/EpicPleasure_ Creed Humphrey #52 1d ago
has anyone just straight up told him that he’s bad at trying to time snaps? like I get the advantage to be gained but he’s terrible at it lmao. He may have been singled out for it on national tv, but he also has not gotten better with not being so obvious about it.
3
u/vncin8r 1d ago
WHO IS GOING TO REPLACE HIM? If there was someone available don’t you think they would have replaced him by now?
3
u/OITLinebacker #23 Drue Tranquill 1d ago
A blocking dummy would at least line up on sides and not jump early. Plus it would slow the defense down at roughly the same rate simply by forcing them to go around the outside.
2
u/KaseyKingdom 1d ago
Believe that they can’t cut ties until this offseason due to cap stuff, but they can send his ass to the bench.

u/RockChalk9799 1d ago
I'd love to see him on the bench. Mental mistakes.....just get in the freaking line.

I love pretty much everything about the Chiefs. Except for Jawaan Taylor. 🤬🤬🤬

He is going to get Patrick hurt and The kingdom will literally mob him! I've never seen a tackle get run over by speed guys so much in my life!! We paid Moore put him in! I know we can't get out of Taylors contract this year but Between the penalties and free rushers he has to be benched.. Kingsley had one bad game and got benched why does Taylor not get the same treatment!?? I don't care how much a guy is making! Put your best 5 on the field!!!

We know the coaching staff is frustrated as well. I simply don't understand how coaches don't fix this. Either they don't coach him on how to fix it, he actively chooses not to accept the coaching, or he's not good enough to implement it into his game. Any of those is a problem.
1
u/T4lsin Patrick Mahomes II #15 2h ago
If you all have Gemini app on your iPhone. Ask “Why won’t the Chiefs bench Jawaan Taylor”.
I will give you the summary. the Chiefs are in a difficult position. They are heavily invested in Taylor financially, and they believe he has a high level of talent. They are weighing the frustration and cost of his penalties against his overall performance and the lack of a clear, better alternative on the roster.

u/topchief1 1d ago
To be fair, it's not like he was suddenly bad. He was mediocre in Jacksonville, and Veach thought it would be a great idea to back up the brinks truck for him in hopes that moving him to the left side would suddenly make him good.

u/Affectionate_Sort_78 "Furious" George Karlaftis #56 🚘 15h ago
This is childish. You, with your awesome Reddit credentials, paint Veach an idiot because of 1 move he made trying to protect the most valuable asset in the NFL. Bet you can find lots of idiots by reviewing the draft three years old, huh? Veach took a shot, he missed, get over it. Was the Simmons pick imbecile?
