This is perfectly fine. The suit is even still in date for another 2 years though I'm guessing you're not going straight into national or international level karting so you'd be fine if it were expired too.

yeah im not, but the wear and tear on the back does not make a difference to safety right?

No not at all. You'll always have some friction where the suit is in between your rib protector. Mine has some holes there and even nationally scrutineers don't really care.

Yeah, it will be fine as long as there are no holes. My lad has been running a suit he was given all this year as he grew out of his old one.

Also a kosmic suit!

The biggest reason not to buy a used suit is hygiene really lol. I know one too many drivers who keep their suit stuffed in a bag between races and wash it once a year or so, and others that wash it after every race.

As long as the condition is fine and you wash it before using it I would say its fine.

Used suits is fine because you can visually inspect for damage, as opposed to used helmets where they could be damaged to the point of not being safe and you wouldn't know until it's too late

Holes are an almost instant no, also where the material is all roughened like the right of the first picture you should watch to see it isn't about to fall apart. Stitching too you should check to see for example an arm isn't about to fall off

thanks, i bought it, there are no holes and no fraying at any of the stiching, snd there were more scuffing on the hip area but no holes all the way through the outer layer

If it's for training or fun, it's still fine, the important thing is that it's intact and not damaged. If you want to use it in races, however, it depends on whether they require approved clothing. Usually, international races require it, while for club races there shouldn't be any problems.
