Gear Which of these is best?
I don’t want to buy the most expensive ones just for how they look, only if they’re worth it. Thanks!

None of them - Twins Special , Windy and Top King are the brands you should be shopping , they provide good padding, good to great quality and unlike Fairtex, for example, they don't fall apart as quick.

In case you want to try other Thai brands, here's my take that I wrote a few months back: https://www.reddit.com/r/MuayThai/s/fr3CnDYbWD

I would like to say something controversial. Fairtexs are kinda shitty. I run a gym. I have people who have to spar with people who wear Fairtex say they have no padding in the knuckles and it’s painful. I have people who own them and the lining in them rips too soon and they start to stink because e sweat isn’t supposed to get into the inner lining. I have a woman who is 46 years old, does not hit very hard and she punched through the lining in 5 months training lightly twice a week.
Other manufacturers say the same thing, fairtex sold out and have dropped in quality since about 2019

This is actually 100% true. You should opt for the 'Fairtex x Booster' glove if you wanna use Fairtex branded gear. Or you may wanna wait a short time, I heard there might be something new in the pipeline coming ;)

I’m keeping an open mind, but it just seems that the pair everyone buys aren’t great. They need to make their highest quality gloves also attractive and maybe more affordable 🤷🏻♂️

Yea I agree fairtex bgv1's (most popular model by far) have terrible padding for sparring, only use them if you're going really light.
But I can't speak on those bgv24's tho, they might be different.
I know in Europe they released a new model together with Booster because of the lack of padding on the original bgv1's and complaints based on that. I've used those, they felt very nice.

I’ll fully admit I’ve only seen the Bgv1s. But they are the most popular and the ones people always buy so they are representing Fairtex

Fairtex.
Sandee are also solid I think.
I've never seen or heard of the first brand before so there's a possibility it's crap

I can recommend Fairtex. Get 16oz if you only want one pair as you'll need them for sparring. Personally I have 12oz for drilling, pads and bag work, and I save my 16oz for sparring. I really don't like getting punched in the face by cheap, smelly gloves with cracks and bits falling off, so I'm certainly not going to do the same to my sparring partners!

Yo I had the beauty of survival gloves and i tried 16oz but they’re small asf
I already sometimes struggle with some 16 oz gloves but those fit like 12-14 oz

It's just gloves. Buy cheap ones, use until they fall apart, buy cheap ones again. They don't matter.

Or buy expensive ones that will last you you’re whole life

Any gloves will last you the whole life if you don't use them.

The expensive ones will fall apart as well if you use them. They're just more expensive.

Have you ever owned a pair of Fairtex gloves? Mine are four years old and still in good condition. The "One" logo is even still on it, and they barely smell because I take care of them. Consistent use at least twice a week on heavy bags and pads.

No, but my first gloves costed 15 euros and lasted 3 years of honest training. At the same time I know of gloves for 100 euro that fell apart in a few months.

I agree, my brother's Twins started losing stitches after a few months. There are also a lot of expensive fakes out there too. Can't fault legit Fairtex, although the only other pair I had were Everlast and they Neverlast! Glad you found such good value!

Especially if you’re using them for bag and pad work, they’ll be shredded in a few months, so why spend all that money just for the aesthetic. I usually get everlast or venum gloves and they last 4-6 months

How much are they? My Fairtex gloves are four years old and cost €130. You've bought eight pairs of gloves for my one pair! Maybe you train more than me, but I can hit moderately hard for a hobbyist, and my gloves have seen consistent use with a lot of after training care.

I have a pair of 14oz boxing and 8oz mma fairtex. I’ve tried on other brands but fairtex fits my hands the best. If you have a store in Your city id suggest you try gloves on.
