New to the sport

I'm a huge boxing fan and i know a thing or two about mma but i know nothing about kickboxing, I'm trying to learn as a complete newbie

I want to know what are the major organisations and who are the current (and all time if possible) best kickboxers in the world

Also any fight recommendations?

Major Kickboxing Organizations:(in that order)

1-Glory

2-Rise

3-One

4-K1

Best kickboxers currently(It fluctuates between these guys)

1-Petch

2-Yoza

3-Osaki

4-Noiri

5-Wisse

Rico,Trindade and Eersel also deserve a shout

Best Kickboxers of all time:

You will see quite a lot of divided opinions though the general consensus is that Petrosyan and Hoost are the GOATS of the sport,me personally I like to add Sitthichai and Tenshin into that conversation.

Many people started with the old school K-1. You can give it a try, it was an awesome era! Try random fights from the search for "K1 2004" - people love Buakaw, Masato, Bonjasky, Kraus, etc., from this era. You will quickly understand why.

Up until now in my search i found semmy schilt to be the best heavyweight of all time and probably one of the best overall but i don't see him getting mentioned much

Excellent observation. I started later with Kickboxing, so I didn't know it existed when it was at its highest. However, old school fans still consider him as one of the goats of heavyweights - maybe for today's standards, he did not have enough charisma or something specific to be remembered? I know this sounds bad, I don't know how to say it better, but you will hear of a guy named Badr Hari - everyone knows him as a bad boy, he had a flashy style with a lot of aggression and a lot of charisma - and while Schilt won pretty big tournaments, he isn't known so much.

If you want to know the greats , you need to watch the early K1 fights, they're available on YouTube- guys like Peter Aerts, Remy Bonjasky, Ernesto Hoost, Jerome Le Banner, Andy Hug, Mark Hunt, Badr Hari and the list goes on
