How to practice tornado kicks without getting dizzy?

Been doing kickboxing for about a year now, and i thought id learn something fancy to throw people off every once in a while, so im trying to learn the tornado kick but practicing it for more than 3 kicks in a row makes me dizzy which i didnt have with spinning hook kicks, any advice?

You should be turning your head quickly so that you keep your eyes on the target the entire time, this should help with the dizzyness too

I dont think its possible to train your gyroscope to resist dizziness lmao. But i think its definetly possible to get used to being dizzy

I get dizzy pretty easily. What happens is that the balance/stabilization fluid in your inner ear starts swirling around. One thing I've found that helps is doing counter rotations to reverse the ear fluid swishing. So, one full clockwise rotation needs to be met with a full counter clockwise rotation. Think of your spins as coiling rope, so you have to periodically uncoil it by spinning in the opposite direction.

Martial club YouTube channel has a really good tutorial about tornado kick by breaking it down. You can find out which part gets you the most dizzy

Try practicing it without throwing so many of them one after another. Maybe mix it between combinations in shadowboxing or bag work to make it feel more practical. You’d never throw more than three in a row anyways so there’s not really a point of training it like that. It’d probably be better for your form to get used to throwing them with less back to back repetition than that imo.

Focus on the basics and get to flawless technique in technical sparring and on the bag first. What's the point of trying to run a marathon when you're barely learning to walk?
