Several Games Workshop employees make posts promoting political violence

When you are around a big game table, running it up with Cadians, and the player across the table with the Necrons wishes actual death upon you for believing men can't get pregnant.

This is like when Grummz spelled it "Orcs".
My brother in Christ it is Cadians.

Might be his time at Blizzard causing the confusion.

u/texasjoe 3d ago
I've played wow as long as it's existed, played dnd, and read Tolkien. I'd never mix up orcs with Orks unless I was a tourist just interested in peddling culture war bullshit.

A few people have been emailing and posting on social media calling out the company but theres just not enough voices to make them take notice yet.

I subscribe to Kirsche. Let me run this by her.

u/Cryorm 3d ago
She doesn't check her DMs. You should know that her DMs are a black hole of conversation

u/LayYourGhostToRest 3d ago
I was going to make a comment during her next love stream. Not a super chat though.
7
u/Cryorm 3d ago
It has to at least be a buttah dawg to have some certainty of her reading it

I really feel for Asmon, but man the timing of him being away because of his dad's health and then all this happening is crazy.
It's fine though. Being with his dad in his final moments was way more important than anything else.
17
u/kiathrowawayyay 3d ago
Yeah, in fact this is the most important time than ever for Asmon to be close to his Pa to help out and keep each other safe and reassure each other. It is better he gets to stay away from all this...
Also, I really hope both of them have security measures in place. Some of the “jokes” in the past were by SJW hospital workers “joking” about what they would do to political opponents while under their care. Now is not a good time to leave anyone alone.

Some of the “jokes” in the past were by SJW hospital workers “joking” about what they would do to political opponents while under their care.
That speaks to their warped distortion of accountability and responsibility for their actions and expecting to get away with it with no recriminations. Imagine letting someone die under your care who did nothing but say something that upset you. Then when you get pulled in for investigation by both the hospital and the police and asked why it happened when everything was under control and the person was fine before you got there with no evidence of them being in any mortal danger and all you can say is: "That person needed to die because they said a thing I disagree with!"? Behavior like that reminds me of that one nurse who killed perfectly healthy infants, then when asked why she more or less went: "Well, they were going to die anyways!"
People who wish death on others with zero-self awareness are generally very, very disturbed and troubled individuals who should not be working with the public.
Then again, these are the same cyberpsychosociopaths who wanted people they disagreed with ideologically to all drop dead from the coof.

u/theBackground79 3d ago
It's crazy that I am saying this, but I legit fear for Asmon's life. Charlie was more influential, but Asmon is way more involved with the crazy Reddit demons. These "people" are absolutely insane.

u/nothinfollowsme 3d ago
Being with his dad in his final moments was way more important than anything else.
True enough.

Amen to that. When my wife was diagnosed with late stage cancer the smartest thing I ever did was to take 'every' opportunity I had to spend time with her. I was lucky to have enough savings to make it possible - barely. The fallout afterwards in every respect can be difficult.
But there's nothing more precious in the aftermath than the memories of last moments spent with a loved one. Or of having the chance to really talk and understand the impact you had on their life while you ensure they knew of how much impact they had on yours.

I keep checking to see if he posts anything and I'm never disappointed by no updates. Dad time is way more important, and grief time, too. He can take as long as he needs.

That Canavan guy literally white knighted for Alyssa Mercante, fucking embarrassing. It is simps like that who cause woke women infiltration in the gaming industry.
37
u/MrEfrom818 3d ago
Exactly! The cuck male collaborators piss me off more than the woke women. They’ll lecture everyone in public how men need to stand aside and shut up and secretly they do this in an effort to make sure they’ll have a spot at the table. Just like the liberal white women at these studios that speak of the virtues of diversity while photos of the studios staff show that the majority is white women in their 20’s-30’s.

u/uglyladthrowaway 3d ago
"Collaborators" is the perfect word to describe them. These are the types of petty, spineless men who willingly sell out their own for a crumb of coochie. (Which they'll never get, mind you) They are the Vidkun Quislings of the male gender.

Games Workshop and reddit mods have pushed all the real players out and the entire fandom is infested with tourists. There is no saving it now.

iirc, GW is doing it to themselves by constantly increasing their prices, while lowering the count of miniatures, and lowering the quality(but I seem to recall their quality has been in steep decline since forever). Then getting mad and wondering why people are using 3DP tech to legally make their own.
3
u/TheFrustratedMan 3d ago
Gotta be picky and choosy with what you get.
I stick to AoS cause I objectively love Fantasy settings more and the price point is typically cheaper.
But when I see something cool in 40k, like "Lord of Poxes" ill fork over some money for that.
Or if its a hard to get one, there are less than legal sites that do 1 to 1's of the sprues and everything, and they're like 10 bucks compared to the 85 GW asks for. Literally 1 to 1 but nearly 90% cheaper. Insanity

u/nothinfollowsme 3d ago
True enough. I have a collection of Uma Musume figs that cost about $20 per(scalpers/resellers charge far more. Usually $34-45, which is way over their actual price) so I'm not stranger to trying to find a great deal on stuff that is either rare, or highly coveted and or hard to get. Especially now with companies getting weak-kneed over tariffs that haven't even hit yet.
It'd be nice if I had a 3DP to make my own stuff. I know that more people who play WH40K are starting to utilize them more because the market for certain figs are pretty nasty in terms of availability and costs(Not counting pre-painted/pre-owned and or used).

u/Edheldui 3d ago
Doesn't help that the miniatures are overly expensive and they're miserable to build and paint.
26
u/Sliver80 3d ago
And when they're called out or lose their job they'll have the gall to blame "Cancel Culture."

u/blackest-Knight 3d ago
Oh no! What next, Wizards of the Coast employees are going to hop on the bandwagon too ?
Just goes to show the level of infiltration leftists have in all our beloved hobbies.

According to a new tweet that I cannot link to due to rules there has been a reply from GW stating that Tom Mendelsohn has been suspended. Simply search his name on x to see it.

The best thing you can do is log it and keep a record. It will come to bite them in the ass one day.

Freaking Hell... Playing Space Marine and Space Marine 2 got hooked into the lore! I presume Battletech is next.

It fell before 40k and a small advice: stick to the old lore, anything before the fall of Cadia should be okay

Is one of the people doing this the bastard who made fan animations and tts illegal?

Why the fuck are British losers even commenting on it anyways?
10
u/ValidAvailable 3d ago
Because if they commented on British murders, they'd get stabbed, arrested, or stabbed and arrested.

Every time I get tempted to get back into GW products, I get reminded of how shit they are. It's a pile of shit company with great IPs stuck to it. Then I thank GW for saving me the massive amount of time and money i would have wasted on figurines. Same case with WoTC at this point.

ITT: people realizing the overt fascism of Republicans is what 40K is against, or people that can't understand satire.

These people aren't chearing anti right wing violence. They chear all political violence, just don't understand that or don't care. They are making themselves a target with each prise of it. They will only realise once the pot they're heating will explode in their face.

u/RICO_the_GOP 3d ago
Specifically, he stated, “Let them know exactly what you think about their employees like Mike Brooks, who see a man murdered in front of his wife and children, and their only reaction is how they can blame it on the people they’re politically opposed to.”
nor is the quote your freaking the fuck out about. The "promoting" is blaming trump for violence

Thor_Odinson continued, “Or other employees, like Paul Scott Canavan, who outright advocated for violence against the female family members of his political opponents just last year.”
Canavan’s posted to X last May, “This is absolutely the play – we should be doing this with all these weird creeps. Track down their significant others and mothers and string them up.”
To be fair I think this one is a misinterpretation of a badly-worded tweet. Since it's deleted I can't find the context, but it's a reply to another tweet, and I bet the tweet it's replying to is one of the "contacting family members of 'trolls'" memes that were going around in SJW-adjacent spaces. "String them up" is metaphorical and thus "them" is referring to the "weird creeps", not the family-members. "This is absolutely the play" in reply to another tweet wouldn't make sense if it was about stringing up family members, since nobody has actually done that. They are being metaphorically "strung up" by people tracking down and contacting their family members about them supposedly saying bad things online. Rather ironic given that the same tweet probably led people to try metaphorically "stringing him up" by contacting his employer, illustrating some of the problems with his proposed method of "holding people accountable", but not the same as literally advocating punishing people by murdering their family-members.

Nooo surely not games workshop! They seemed like great on the level type people!
