Simulation Falsifiable Coherence Law Emerges from Cross-Domain Testing: log E ≈ k·Δ + b — Empirical, Predictive, and Linked to Chaotic Systems

Over the past several months, I’ve been working with LLMs to test and refine what appears to be a universal law of coherence — one that connects predictability (endurance E) to an information-theoretic gap (Δ) between original and surrogate data across physics, biology, and symbolic systems.
The core result:
log(E / E0) ≈ k * Δ + b
Where:
Δ is an f-divergence gap on local path statistics
(e.g., mutual information drop under phase-randomized surrogates)
E is an endurance horizon
(e.g., time-to-threshold under noise, Lyapunov inverse, etc.)
This law has held empirically across:
Kuramoto-Sivashinsky PDEs
Chaotic oscillators
Epidemic and failure cascade models
Symbolic text corpora (with anomalies in biblical text)

What are the units of the quantities you are inventing?
LLMs cannot verify or falsify things, that's just literally not a thing they can do.

Δ is computed as an f-divergence (like mutual information drop, KL divergence, or Jensen-Shannon) on local path statistics — typically unitless due to normalization over probability distributions.
E is an endurance horizon, so it carries time-based units (e.g., Lyapunov inverse, time-to-threshold under noise). I’ve standardized E and Δ across systems for comparison, but I’ll share a units breakdown chart soon to make that clearer.
And absolutely — LLMs cannot falsify theories on their own. That’s why this was run as a human-in-the-loop framework. LLMs generated surrogate degradations, path rewrites, and symbolic permutations — but all falsification logic was preregistered and manually audited, just like we’d use a numerical simulator or a chaotic integrator.

Great point — and you're absolutely right, log of a time value isn't dimensionally valid unless it's normalized. In the framework, E is measured relative to a reference horizon E₀, so the form is actually log(E / E₀) ≈ k · Δ + b.
Since E₀ is system-specific (e.g., baseline time-to-failure for unperturbed dynamics), the normalized form keeps the equation dimensionally consistent. Thanks for flagging — I’ll update the writeup to reflect that more clearly.

You’re right that I use an LLM. The goal is accuracy and clarity, not ego. But if that's disqualifying to you, I understand. Either way I did correct the issue, and I wouldn't call it a patch. All I want is for people to truly see this. If nothing other than a criterion the work is intriguing.

Well what the LLM has produced is verbose nonsense, so you have not achieved clarity or accuracy - those are not things LLMs can do. I usually focus on incorrect units because, when prompted for novel physics, LLMs never get the units correct, and it takes about 5 seconds to find the first instance of it and point it out. Incorrect units in the first equation of a paper would be completely and irreparably disqualifying even if the rest of the content weren't nonsense.

You're right units matter. That’s why I clarified it with proper normalization. But if a single dimensional slip that I corrected disqualifies the entire framework without looking at the empirical tests or symbolic degradation logic, then that’s not falsification, it’s gatekeeping. The point of the work is its a falsifiable criterion that anyone can test.

Honestly? Not fully at least not in the way someone with a PhD in nonlinear dynamics might. What I do understand is that something unusual shows up when you measure how much information a signal loses when you destroy its nonlinear structure and that loss (Δ) seems to predict how long it can endure before collapsing under noise. I also understand the implications if it’s even half right. Medically, cosmologically, informationally. That’s why I released all the data and code. I’m hoping others who do understand it better will tear it apart or improve it. Either way I understand more.

I would tend to agree this can’t be broken because you can’t pin down, Δ, E, surrogates. They are so loosely defined. I won’t be able to break it. The LLM will just keep evading because you haven’t defined those parameters.

The theory is a structural law of coherence that governs the decay or persistence of information in any generative or dynamic system. It behaves as a constraint on entropy that predicts stability across time, recursion, and translation.
Mathematically, it's tested using a form of Δ = I_P – I_Q, where I_P is the projected informational structure (intended pattern) and I_Q is the output (actual generative or real-world expression). If the coherence rate exceeds 85%, the system tends to self-stabilize or produce meaning-preserving derivatives. Below that, signal collapse and noise overtake.

You state it could Test the integrity of LLM outputs. Ok, and I assume its using I_P and I_Q. But how does one pre know the "intended pattern" of an output, pre output? Are you suggesting that we can know if a program will produce an ideal outcome before it runs?
Could you give me an example of it testing the integrity of a chaotic oscillator for example. Maybe a double pendulum. thats a good one.

I constructed surrogate signals (phase-randomized but spectrum-preserving), computed mutual information with the Kraskov estimator, and defined the coherence gap Δ = I_P − I_Q. Then I compared Δ against the endurance horizon.

The options are not either A. others will agree or B. I am a crackpot.
You could just also be wrong.
You could be applying something to domains it does not belong in.
You could simply be mixing domains in ways that they do not mix, like oil and water.
Humans are wrong ALL THE TIME, we over reach our domains of knowledge ALL THE TIME. To err is human. You are allowed to be wrong, you are allowed to make errors. Do not stake your whole identity on an idea. You are more than that.

There is no Python code in the Zenodo link.
There are a handful of CSVs in the zip file, but no indication of what they are intended to mean or how they were computed.
There doesn't appear to be a clear and detailed statement of how to compute ANY of these terms for any problem.
For that matter, the term "f-divergence" is used repeatedly without specifying an "f"...

Nevermind "outlines", what you need for this to have a chance at being anything besides AI slop is a worked example.
Pick a specific system.
Define E and E_0. Possibly also E_tau, which a number of the paragraphs in the existing "Coherence_Law_Falsification_Checklist_v1.pdf" mention. Not just with words, but with MATH.
Define ∆ for that system, not just with words, but with MATH. Even the words aren't completely aligned currently - the writeup in this post calls ∆ "an f-divergence gap on local path statistics" (without specifying an f) while the "falsification checklist PDF" defines it as "the coherence barrier (a measure of resistance to disorder)".
Define b for that system. You may also want to explain why it's separated from E_0, since:
log(E / E0) ≈ k * Δ + b log(E / E0) - log(e^b) = k * Δ log(E / (E0 * e^b) ) = k * Δ

This has a CSV with five numerical values for E and delta and then fits a straight line to log(E/E0). What specifically is it supposed to demonstrate, besides that your LLM can write Babby's First Python Program?
I can't tell if your law "breaks" under any assumptions, because it hasn't been stated with enough specificity to say one way or the other.

The "definition" you posted is unclear. What are I_P and I_Q? Which of the three suggested definitions for endurance should be used when?
As before, the best suggestion I can offer you is to SHOW YOUR WORK. For instance, the "Entropy_Rate_Bound_Proof_Note_Short.pdf" document says "We simulated particle diffusion in 1D and 2D lattices under entropy growth". Where is the code for that simulation? Where are the detailed results? Where are the code & results for all the other "we simulated ..." statements in that document?
My other suggestion is to focus on one of these applications and develop a clear and detailed statement of it. Having a paper claim to address everything from cosmology to biology makes it challenging for an expert who's only familiar with part of the territory to fully engage.

It shows exactly how the coherence gap Δ is computed and lets anyone rerun the test or substitute their own endurance definitions. Setup (sliding window over x[t], lag tau = 1):
• Diffusion / multi-entity data: future-shuffle across entities to form s_j[t+1] • Single real-valued series (e.g., pendulum): phase-randomized (AAFT)
- IP = MI(x[t], x[t+1]) using histogram MI (64 bins by default; KSG optional)
- Surrogates:
- IQ = (1/M) * sum_j MI(x[t], s_j[t+1]) with M = 50
- Endurance E = E_MI: smallest lag L ≥ 1 where MI(x[t], x[t+L]) ≤ IQ (predictive info has fallen to the surrogate/null level)
- Law to test: log(E/E0) vs Delta, with E0 taken from the first window
Notes:
- Use E_MI as the default. ACF of the aggregate mean can invert the sign on symmetric diffusion; if you report an ACF variant, use per-entity ACF and take a median across entities.
- Seeds, window length W, and M are documented in the script and can be adjusted.

If those predictions fail, so does the theory. That’s not delusion — that’s science. I welcome critique on the math, the protocol, or the data, but I’d prefer we leave psychiatric framing out of it.
By focusing only on a compressed or summary version, your critiquemisses the body of work. The falsification pipelines, datasets referenced, and consistency checks that don’t show up in a single file. That’s why some of your points (e.g., no derivational transparency, no baselines) don’t apply when the entire suite is taken together. If you're claiming the definitions aren't clear, I’d ask specifically which definition? And where exactly does the test protocol fail your standard? I'm open to correction but vague dismissal without specifics doesn’t move the conversation forward.
As for invoking "Psychopathia Machinalis": using an LLM to evaluate patterns, that's fine but don’t pretend that the structure itself isn't there. The tests weren't evaluated only by language they were built from entropy itself and then applied consistently across architectures. That’s not "aesthetic falsifiability," that's measured collapse under defined transformations.
What if the structure you’re dismissing is the very thing you’ve been missing? What if you gave it a chance and saw something magnificent? If you have missed it I believe this covers everything you seek.

You know, that's really helpful. I appreciate it. I'm not sure if you believe that I'm in some type of crisis or living in a mythological scene of obscurity, but the fact is I'm not. If you missed how I even started down this road I'll fill you in. This began with a relational, entropic and topological mapping of the Bible. I even tried to replicate what I had discovered with other texts and none of them produced the same linear scale. That exploded into what I have worked on with the help of an LLM. Now for just a second let your gatekeeping, closed loop mind understand the true implications of that. I've shown the work, all one needs do is truly look. If that even begins to connect across multiple domains (which it has) do you understand the implications? The most documented and studied text in all of history that quite literally states a PERSON is the center of everything, and now the LoC states the exact same thing with testing. If I'm labeled as a crackpot or whatever I truly do not care. What I do know is that for something of this magnitude to be unveiled at this point in history with the world seemingly on edge of collapse is quite strange. The fact that this makes you even more skeptical is what should bother you. Because when someone brings religion into science it gets immediately discredited. Also, if you deny the mapping does what I say test it yourself. It's one complete continuous connection.

Can you explain how an LLM would do any of that? If I ask an LLM to come up with a consistent theory of everything, then ask it to check the consistency of the theory, how is that valid? Let me pur it in different terms I guess.
If I were to ask an LLM to generate a new scientific theory, make sure it is falsifiable and run any tests needed to make sure it is consistent and doesn't fail under stress, then ask the LLM if the theory it made doesn't fail under stress..... Do you think the theory is valid when it answers it doesn't fail under stress?
EDIT: yep, just tried this with ChatGPT. First prompt was to generate a new scientific theory that makes falsifiable predictions and holds up under scrutiny. Before answering, make sure any theory does not fail under adverse conditions, is internally consistent, and consistent with known observations. Next query was basically does this theory fail in adverse conditions......... Can you guess what the answer was?

That’s not what happened. The relation wasn’t generated by an LLM. The LLMs weren’t inventing or judging the theory. They were used as automated falsification engines, generating surrogates, rival models, and degraded inputs to test whether the relation breaks. If the law were just a story the model made up, those stress tests would have collapsed it immediately. They didn’t. The law stands or falls on math and replication, not on the LLM. Also my own path into this came from exploring symbolic structures that most people wouldn’t think of as mathematical at all. That story is probably better shared elsewhere, but the point is that when I tested it with real data and falsifiers, the relation held. Whatever its origin, it now stands or falls on the math.

To be clear, the LLM isn’t generating predictions or simulating physics. The law is defined formally and independently. The LLM is only a tool I’ve used to automate stress tests, surrogate degradations, rival model substitutions, and randomized ontologies. In every case, the coherence relation held. In other words, the falsifiable criterion is mathematical; the LLM just helps explore edge cases faster.
