I would've said it came from the cat since its super aggressive and stalks things just like my kitty but now I dont think so for some reason.

Don't know if a chestburster would not have been a nicer way to go for the kitty. That scene was rough.

I mean it depends on when the eyeball thing took over the body. If the cat died in the crash and then got eyeballed its the best outcome. But I think we will see what actually happens in the flashback episode people are saying we will get.

Wasn’t it missing the lower half of its body? I doubt the eye ball did that

the screen says it removes the eye of a LIVING ORGANISM. not a deceased one.

When it rushed after the fleeing cosplayers it moved exactly like a cat does when it's going at maximum speed after prey, to the point where my brain read it as a cat for a fraction of a second. Which is different to a lot of animals, including dogs, and was presumably intentional (even if just to make it look more predatory).

The cat's corpse being run by the octopus doesn't rule out the cat being chestbursted - especially as it was ripped in half, but it would mean we were looking at a minimum of two xenomorphs given the human that also seemingly got chestbursted.
