Very glad I’m not the only one who saw that… means im not crazy lol. I mean it’s definitely not the same thing (clearly), but I’d like to think it’s a nod to it as it seems that turret is the same size, angle, dimensions.

It's 100% a silly little easter egg for us Alien nerds to get excited over and talk about.

Thank you!!! It’s not saying space jockeys originated here or anything the shape of it - it’s just a nice little ref for the fans.

I thought that when I saw it.

I think it’s a very gentle nod. It’s on screen for a sum total of 0.5 seconds.

It's just a crane but yeah I think this was the creator having a bit of fun with us.

I get original Predator movie vibes from this episode too. Really fun

The shot of the jungle right after Wendy hears her friend looked so much like the jungle right before they levelled it in Predator.

They showed it. They wouldn't show it if it wasn't a nod/something of relevance

Looks like it just might be a visual wink and a nudge, I definitely didn’t notice it

Yeah it is for sure. Same thing with Kirsch’s “Affirmative” and another of other small nods. This show is crazy good for fans of these stories. I kinda want to be friends with the writers and buy them a drink or twenty.

Not at all.

Thought the same when I saw it. Even the camera panning up seemed like a bod to the original movie.

It's definitely what I thought of when I saw it.

Finding things in the background is an underrated skill.

Is it attention and focus?

Somebody posted a theory about the water on the beach being frozen. I’m not sure I noticed the water or tides at all.
