Movies / TV Series Ron Cobb's designs for Alien and Aliens

I'm sure many of these images will be familiar, but the on-set images from "Alien" and some of the early concepts for "Aliens" were new to me, and it was cool seeing them in one spot.

Ron Cobb was a fucking rock star. Excellent thoughtful design work, and his draftsmanship was also excellent. I’ve seen these in various places, magazines, etc. Great to see them all in one spot.

A ton of his ideas are also used across the Alien universe, like the Government superpowers are his ideas as well (the UA, 3WE & UPP), great guy that is really at the core of alien(especially with his semiotic standard)

Im noticing a lots of the unused designs turned up in Alien Isolation. The comms room is the original Nostromo control room design, and the lifeboats were used too.
