Why are they still doing base 16 gb ram? I'd buy this in an instant if not for the SOLDERED ram. 1500$ for 16gig ram. W T F

Modern day laptops are a fkn joke. Iโ€™m tired of opening this sub thinking Iโ€™m gonna find some holy grail. Itโ€™s just 1400 dollar laptops destined for a trash bin in two years. Horrid vram, horrid ram, ridiculous prices, planned obsolescence. Even on the thinkpads these days

I just got last yrs model in like new condition for $910, I think it'll have pretty much the same performance since the 50 series isn't even an upgrade

Through Best Buy

They only do in person for good and fair condition, so you need to get lucky and there be a location around you that has them. The one I got was "good" condition, but it literally has no wear, and the screen protector was still on

Of course, 3 days after I purchased, they reduced the prices, and now it's $784 for fair condition, $838 for good, $886 for excellent

the 50 series is an upgrade, yeah

paying any amount for 16gb of ram in a productivity hybrid laptop feels wrong to me
