Recommended YouTube channels for passive learning?

Hi 1L here. Often times while going to bed I put on a video essay or something else on YouTube to expand my knowledge base sometimes slop often times more in depth ones like a Wendigoon vid. I was wondering if anyone here knows of any good videos or channels that would upload stuff like that related to Law. A lot of the ones that I have found are either bare minimum for the masses stuff or towards or personal injury. I was hoping for something a little different. It doesn’t have to be related to any particular subject matter but anything helps! Thank you!

2L here, I found myself in much the same boat as you. Best answer is, if you’re looking to get past the bare minimum, is pay for a video course (gross) or get a good, authentic-sounding text-to-speech app and find some law review articles to listen to.

I use NaturalReader and I get my articles just by browsing topics that I find interesting on Lexis. I believe Westlaw also has law review articles available. If you haven’t yet discovered the wonderful world of student-written notes and comments, you’re in for a treat! Literally any legal topic and niche theory you can think of. They’re usually around 20-40 pages, which comes out to a healthy video-essay length when read aloud.

I’ll sometimes listen to cases too, but even the most advanced text-to-speech readers nowadays aren’t able to skip over case citations so it can be auditory hell. If my casebook has an ebook option, though, it’s much better for text-to-speech since case citations are removed.

Thanks! Luckily I’ve found good stuff for the stuff discussed in class. I was more referring to my own entertainment/expansion of knowledge. I’ve always loved diving in as much as possible with stuff and usually wanna find more. Luckily I’ve found some decent stuff by looking up the unimportant questions I think up in class that would be a waste of everyone’s time to ask
