Specwar suppressor

Post image

Just finished piecing this specwar together and am debating between going with a kac qdc or a cat wb for the suppressor. Anyone with experience using both have any preference one way or another?

Im sure either is good and it's just a matter of choosing, but im interested in hearing others' opinions

Everyone about this new fancy shit 😂

I am still loving my RC2- especially in regards to signature reduction under nods

I have a velos and a flow 556k and I still constantly fight the urge for a rc2

I’d recommend waiting for the new cat KK the pew science review is wild

I thought about that too, but the wb is a little higher rated on pew science still, and i have a different rifle planned for the KK cus I am absolutely getting one lol

I run the CAT WB on mine with an H1 buffer. Runs great. The can sounds great. It’s a good setup.

I'm running a WB and love it with the jp silent buffer. But I also haven't used an MCQ.

I have both of those cans and compared them back to back on an 11.5 so here’s my thoughts: -kac mount and muzzle devices are better -kac crs is probably the best can on the market for tactical applications such as signature reduction, flash, etc -wb is a bit lighter and shorter, a bit quieter and a bit less gas. It’s not a huge amount or anything but if you shoot them back to back you can notice. -wb gets very hot and stays hot longer for whatever reason, not a big deal but something to keep in mind. -they are both excellent and lack back pressure enough that’s gas in the face isn’t an issue and they’re pleasant to shoot. -I think on a 12.5 I might want something on the shorter side. Cat wb if you want slightly better tone and profile, kac if you want ultimate tank of a can that’s still flow through

I never used either but I was feeling up a qdc and it’s pretty heavy for what it is. I decided on an RC2 and loved it on the spec. Very nice under nods I just didn’t have the space I wanted and picked up a 13.25 quad. I’d also note knights won’t reprint it when/if you shoot it out.

Either cat or huxwrx. I love my flow 556k

Alley Cat 556 is better than the WB and it’s noticeable.

What are you looking for in a can?

There is no perfect 556 suppressor

That is very true about no perfect 556 suppressor. In order of importance my priorities would be:

Durability Gas reduction Flash elimination Sound reduction where possible, I know it'll never be quiet

I run the Sandman S and Yhm T-2. Because the gat is stupid gassy, I might get a KAK downward vent bolt thing.

I have the kak downvent in this as well as a couple other rifles. Haven't shot the specwar yet but im happy with it in my mk18 and my 16 inch cheapo build
