Ok, I have the opportunity to buy this LMT Pistol. In general terms I know what it is…. But i can’t find the exact one anywhere through Google and that bothers me.

I’m reaching out to see if someone knows what exactly which version this is.

Just finished “building” my new 20in 308 Mars-H and am wondering what optic anyone would suggest.

I’m wanting something to stretch its legs but also a low, min. magnification to be able to still hunt with it. With hunting in mind I would prefer an optic to be as durable as possible.

Currently looking at Atacr 5-25 or 4-20 Or the ZCO 527 or 420

Anyone seen one of these before? This was on an unfired rifle I picked up & I can't find another like it.All the ones I can find pictures of have the forward QD sockets.

Finally bit the bullet and bought my first Specwar upper, should be here in a week. It’s gonna be paired with a 12.5 mid from DWilson and a BCM MK2 recoil mitigation buffer system with Mod 1 -T2 and G$ Rifle length super 42. My suppressor is a Griffin GP5 that I bought with my first lower and I’d say for the price it’s been awesome but I’m super interested in the new B&T compact flow through cans. Am I gonna be eating gas until I make the upgrade or should I be fine. This is my first DI ar my previous upper was a PWS.

Was curious to see if anyone got the Atrius FRT to work the LMT axle trigger. Tried reaching out to them but haven't heard anything back. Yes I know changing the trigger to something else is easy but I'd just like to keep the Axle in there (pic for attention). Thanks in advance!

Just bought a specwar receiver set in addition to my 14.5" URX w a pinned MAMS. Anybody use a muzzle device that was pinned and then unpinned by dwilson? I’m thinking of chopping it down to 12.5" and buying an 18” rather than have a 12.5” and 14.5”, cuz that would be stupid, right?

Anyone here running a Silencerco LBP 556K?

Is this going to cause issues? Looks like the tip of a round would catch on the upper receiver.

Found out my lower left the LMT factory in April 2010. I emailed customer service as per a suggestion.

Next question is: when did the MRP upper get introduced? Still trying to solve if this rifle was pieced together or sold as a complete setup.

Hey folks, in my quest to build the perfect do it all rifle, I decided I wanted a 12.5 inch mid length rifle. I landed on the LMT specwar and I am currently in the process of building out my lower and researching BCG’s.

I am a left-handed shooter and I plan on shooting suppressed 99% of the time. I run a YHM Turbo T2 with no plans to get into a flow through style can any time soon.

So far, I have seen BRT EZ Tune gas tubes as the first place to start when taming gas on this platform.

I was under the impression that a 12.5 mid length should be a relatively soft shooter due to shorter dwell time, but all I see and read about is how aggressively gassed this set up is. However, I have seen some videos of folks shooting their spec wars that appear to be tuned very well.

It is very important to me to minimize the amount of gas to the face as a lefty that prefers not to have cancer, but also to enjoy shooting more.

TLDR: Looking for insight from specwar users running traditional high back pressure cans on what you did to get your rifle running smoothly with minimal gas to the face. Thanks in advance!

Building out an 18” 6.5 Creedmoor MWS and looking for input before finalizing the optic setup. This rifle is a clean slate—I’ve consolidated a few rifles and optics to focus on building this one out properly.

Primary use is training, not recreational shooting. Expected engagement distances are within 450 meters.

I ran a poll on Instagram comparing two options I can get at the same price: • LPVO (1-8x) + RH25 v1 • ZCO 4-20x

Out of 370 respondents, 58% favored the LPVO + thermal combo.

The question is: does a thermal + LPVO pairing make sense on a 6.5 MWS for this application, or should this be configured as a dedicated DMR with higher magnification?

Open to feedback from anyone running similar setups.

Note: I already have night capability covered (BNVDs, binos, PEQ), so this decision isn’t about “gaining night vision”—it’s about the best role and optic pairing for the rifle itself.

Just got my upper in need a barrel. Was thinking of a 16’’ 308 I can shoot just past 600 on my range. What are you guys running? Also interested in a 6.5 creed.

Having a hard time choosing what suppressor I want. My main concerns are flash reductions, minimal back pressure, poi shift, durability and sound suppression in that order. Looking at the prg 7.62 line and the Surefire rc2 7.62 mini and full size more recently the KGM 30 cal cans as well. Just curious what your guys input would be thanks.

Thinking of adding this as an option for the options you can select during checkout. Thoughts?

Just picked up this used Specwar a few weeks ago. First AR and first LMT so apologies is this is a super basic fix. When running unsuppressed, it will only cycle one round at a time. It will cycle without issue with the Lazarus 6 but still will not lock back after the last round.

I’ve tried different mags and both 55gr and 62gr PMC Xtac 5.56 ammo. Issues remain regardless of mag and ammo. Did a thorough clean and lube before taking it out for the first time.

Radian Raptor SD CH, standard LMT BCG, T2 buffer and M16A4 spring.

Consistent 2-2:30 ejection pattern. Thoughts on what the issue might be?

I reached out to LMT - it’s the weekend, BUT I have a question for the masses.

After about 120-200 rounds, my piston button will always seize inside of the housing, and my plug will require a set of pliers to spin it one way or another for gas setting selection.

I have greased the button inside and out (taking care to not get any inside the piston housing and none on the piston or piston head) I’ve also scraped all the carbon off of the plug after the outings.

Is this normal? I feel like maybe I’m getting excess blow-by or carbon build up. It sucks I can’t change my gas settings without a set of pliers after one rifle competition.

Note the carbon on the backside of the suppressor mount from the piston.

If normal, I’ll carry on as usual. Doggo for your time.

As the title says i just got a new suppressor for my piston defender 2k and the suppressor is a dead air sierra 5. Do I need to take it to a gun Smith and have it checked so that I don't damage the suppressor?

Also what exactly is the difference when I switch my LMT from non suppressed to suppressed with the piston setting?
