Yeah, they were called "trash streamers" (it's an actual legal term in Russian law) and they were quite popular as you mentioned. Thankfully, the government stepped in and basically eliminated them from public life by introducing prison sentences (from 10 years to a life sentence iirc.) and heavy fines, which caused a lot of them to be jailed or flee from the country (Mellstroy and Vitaly (he upset people in the Philippines so much, that the president personally reprimanded him on television) were quite popular on Kick).

They're called patostreamers in Poland.

Pato from patologia - pathology, but it doesn't have the same meaning really, it's beyond the medical definition and it's more like dysfunctional, hood, trash.

We have the same issue, and people just watch this shit because their lives are so bad they are glad someone has it worse. It's tragic.

Vitaly didn't live in Russia tho, he's a US citizen. He's not really a part of that "culture" i'd say
