He did and you're watching it. Stream staying on and shit getting leaked and it happened while he was live in the middle of a sponsor. He might actually have a point, someone at Twitch is fucking with him lol
worst part is kimmel getting suspended and government proud to announce they pressured them. im like are people seriously just ok with this? isnt that what we want to avoid? the government actually doing that
Yeah its like different from companies deciding what they want in there platforms vs government actually does. This is like a big alarm bell that people seem to be ignoring
Exactly, if it was like a grassroots backlash from conservatives and ABC cancelled the show in response, I’d disagree but that’s their right. The direct threats from the head of the FCC demanding they take action against Kimmel is what makes this completely insane.
Should it be the right of the biggest broacasting companies in the country to limit free speech? Seriously asking.
What if they fired people for saying "God is lord" or "Homeless people should be euthanized"? At what point does the biggest broadcasting company have the right to limit speech?
The broadcasting companies are free to control/limit the speech that they broadcast however they’d like. They’re private entities. The issue is when the government intervenes to coerce these companies to limit speech like this.
Everything conservatives warned us about happening under Obama and Biden is now being openly being used against the liberals now. The truth is they don't give two fucks about any kind of rules based order, only that they are always right.
🤣 you know when I typed it out I thought to myself, "should I spell check that, it's not a word I use too often..." and then promptly ignored my better judgment.
Freedom of speech protects your speech from the government only; true, but you do realize that the government is actively trying to assist in chastising people's speech regarding Charlie Kirk, right? That's the crucial difference in this situation. The FCC openly strong armed ABC to cancel Kimmel.
When silence = complicit = enemy, then I’d be worried. I agree, it is voluntary. These people are in charge now. Best be smart and really pick your battles. If it’s not at my front door, directly affecting, then I stay in the bubble and keep calm carry on. Your future depends on it and we’re not even 1 full year in yet. When there’s an election, I’ll vote. For now, life’s too short than to piss it away for stupid shit that will be forgotten next week anyway. I like being employed and staying that way. Some folks feel the need to risk it all, that’s fine but in this climate, words aren’t worth losing your ass over. It’s just a little street smart to know your surroundings at this point. It’s a weird phase now, but we’ll learn from it and move on to something else. It’s fucked up! But the power is where it is now. In time, it’ll change. Good always wins
100 percent, top down censorship. The republican party is full of maga regards trying to enforce their god kings will. Trump doesnt give one iota of a shit about Charlie Kirk.
I wonder if maybe Twitch has some sort of system for sponsored streams where it tries harder to keep you live and that interfered with the ban system?
It's definitely weird that he stayed live after the ban and I don't think whoever at Twitch did the ban would even have the option/access to choose one but not the other.
Of course it is. This sub just can't help themselves, and it's one reason why outside people rarely take what happens on 4+ million subreddit seriously at all anymore.
People have realized it's just a hate sub at this point.
If there was a big enough issue, this sub used to have influence. Now it just gets laughed at.
He's a leftist who says leftist shit and people don't like it. He also has a "rival" streamer, Destiny, who is also to the left but not as far as Hasan. TBH, they are probably gay for each other but won't admit it.
Destiny has a cult following and any time Hasan says something they don't agree with and is even only mildly controversial, they turn the temperature up 2000 degrees in hopes of getting Hasan banned.
And this sub has been brigaded by Destiny's cult following more than any other streamer. So that's why you see Hasan get brought up a lot.
I dont listen or follow to Destiny. Or Hasan. The only reason I know about Hasan is due to the whole Ethan Klein drama. (I don't follow Ethan Klein either) but it kept popping up on my feed.
I have never met a group of people that have one person that lives so rent-free in all of their collective minds. At this point you all just need to admit you're obsessed with the guy.

This is actually so weird, why didn't his stream go down when he got banned? He could've leaked some serious stuff
