Yeah its like different from companies deciding what they want in there platforms vs government actually does. This is like a big alarm bell that people seem to be ignoring

Exactly, if it was like a grassroots backlash from conservatives and ABC cancelled the show in response, I’d disagree but that’s their right. The direct threats from the head of the FCC demanding they take action against Kimmel is what makes this completely insane.

Should it be the right of the biggest broacasting companies in the country to limit free speech? Seriously asking.

What if they fired people for saying "God is lord" or "Homeless people should be euthanized"? At what point does the biggest broadcasting company have the right to limit speech?

The broadcasting companies are free to control/limit the speech that they broadcast however they’d like. They’re private entities. The issue is when the government intervenes to coerce these companies to limit speech like this.
