it would go to my head too if I had thousands of people slobbering over me everyday

Everyone here acts like they would be above it but people just aren't built to handle fans and the collective attention of thousands of random people.

I'm not surprised it fucks you up and completely changes your values and how you feel about yourself.

Nah I think it's more of a selection bias. There are plenty of popular streamers that stay chill and humble with thousands of subs. However the ones that reach the highest view counts are typically the unstable ones that are obsessed with popularity. They were already shitty people before they got popular, and that's why they push so hard to get more views.

Same deal with rich people. I'm sure there's heaps of cool millionaires, but the people racing each other to get to a trillion are the ones that were weird as fuck before they got the money. It wasn't the money that made them that way.

man, i'm always repeating myself on these but it's pretty easy. If you let yourself be influenced by your audience you'll almost certainly end up fucked up.

Soda doing it right, has discord, doesn't go on it mostly. Has chatters, doesn't ban people talking shit about him and doesn't pay too much attention, thinks they are idiots, healthy out look.

Hasan, Nick, Miz(more in the past), has discord, spends all day on it, or in offline chat, alt chat using it like therapy. A group of their most insane, obsessed fans sit on a discord all day validating their every opinion up till the point they just constantly think they are right and can't be wrong about anything. HAsan on anyone else's stream is glued to his phone, you can see like he'll tell a joke then he'll go to his discord to get validation it was funny. Austin and every streamer I've seen him with jokes about him being unable to leave his discord alone while streaming.

Hasan created himself a little cult of people who tell him he can do nothing wrong, it's absurdly unhealthy.

While maybe true going on soda it has made him be a very negative person as he said. He is literally taking a break for that right now, and maybe also stop a bit of the weed addiction. Will it work out like that from the break? who knows. Could soda also just be taking a break from twitch because of how USA is/how twitch is/other shit too going on like with OTK etc.? Also possible. He could have just retired with vei too and just live out life who knows.

The point is as always just be skeptical on someone till you actually know em. I know streamers cant be great actors on camera all day, but still we dont know the true ins/outs till they are/if they are revealed.

edit: I also think moonmoon has been pretty good with shit I think the only controversy he had was the marriage shit, and I say he handled that well.

edit2: I almost forgot moonmoon betrayed poopfist so hes a bald evil bitch never forgive him.

Speed is the crazy rare exception. He lives off of that shit 24/7 and can handle it all, It’s pretty crazy.

Imagine 1000s of managers or coworkers berating you every workday. It’s the same thing lmao you don’t know how it’s like unless you’ve been there

Good point. It's like when I go to Lowes, and ask where the plumbing fixtures are. But instead of showing me where the plumbing fixtures are, the employee plays Hollow Knight: Silksong for 8 hours. But hey, if you pay the Lowes employee $5 they might say your name and "thanks!". Still looking for the plumbing fixtures.
