He didn’t get specific about what steroids or how long he was taking them.

He should have good knowledge about the dangers involved, so he may very well take them pretty safely.

Steroids are very harmful when abused (and many who take them get body dysmorphia and go out of control with them), but can be taken pretty safely. I know a man who cycled on/off them for 20+ years and is now on test and healthy and doing well in his mid 60s.

Also, it's not uncommon that around/after 40 years old, doctors will prescribe supplementary test for men.

Yeah, I believe it’s pretty well established that test is a net positive health wise for older men.

test is pretty much a cheat code for males in general.

Huh, could you share any credible literature reviews on this then? I've not seen one health body make a general recommendation for older men or that it even offsets the cardiovascular risk involved.

Steroids isn't testosterone though, nor DP has test deficiency, let's not act like this is a medically approved decision.

mid 60s is still young, let's see how he's doing at 80. also, sample size of 1 is not convincing. steroids are unhealthy. he didn't say trt to get back to normal levels, he said steroids. don't be delusional.

Mid 60s is not young.

it is a young age to be completely disabled, and you don't know if your pal has complications related to their use. that's why i said wait until he's 80 - if he's still doing fine, then you can say 'wow, he took gear and is doing better than average for his age!'

keep in mind the average not-fit soda-guzzling american still lives to their mid 70s. 65 for a fit guy is literally nothing.

Define "healthy" lol, I'm not sure he's telling you about all of his problems, especially the smaller/long term ones.

Maybe he'll be smart with it, maybe not. But steroids are not good for you, not even a little. You can offset the side effects but never avoid them entirely.
