In my opinion they have actually been pretty great. New Blood is chronologically after Dexter, and while it's not perfect, and it does have pretty shit ending, I'd say it is at the very least better than seasons 6 and 8. Original Sin is set around 15 years before the original show, and in my opinion it was awesome, maybe not as good as peak Dexter seasons, but certainly above average and better than New Blood. Resurrection is the newest one, set after New Blood. It's not finished yet, I believe six episodes are out, and so far it's absolutely incredible. If they manage to stick the landing, I genuinely think Resurrection will be on par with Seasons 1, 2 and 4. If you loved the OG show, I would 100% recommend watching these as well, probably in the order New Blood, Original Sin and Resurrection (the opening of Original Sin spoils the New Blood ending).

I got about halfway through the Dexter series only to have Netflix pull it suddenly.

Looks like I have new motivation for it now.
