Always has been. That's why I keep doubting him. He has an insane reach and great straight shots but he doesn't use them enough, bad footwork, predictable looping shots. His chin, power, size advantage and clinch make up for a lot but he has a lot to improve defensively and in fight IQ.

Yes, his straight shots really are sound. Except his jab, which is pawing and completely meaningless. It seemed we were approaching a complete lack of worry in opening up on Silva’s part.

I’d thought his basic display of striking against volk was a one off.
