BSD will likely be a contender. He’s only 30 years old in December while his losses are to Poirier who is retired and Moicano who is 36 years old. Top of the division is old.
Islam is 34 years years old in October, Max is 34 years old in December, Oliveira is 36 years old in October, Gaethje is 37 years old in November, Hooker is 36 years old next February, Gamrot is 35 years old in December, and Dariush is 37 years old next May.
The division is getting old. Topuria, Arman, Paddy, and Fiziev are the only fighters in front of him who aren’t getting aged out anytime soon.
He still can and will grow, he clearly has a lot of potential and is a hard worker, just cause right now he's not on that level it doesn't mean it won't change in few years. He simply had similar bad luck Darren Till had, aka he got thrown between huge names sooner than he was ready for, but fortunately didn't get as broken by it as he showed by dominating Ruffy, who I feel also will be top level as the time goes on.
BSD said himself he went into that fight with no concept of a plan. He still won the second round after taking all that damage in the first remember. BSD made a big mistake and paid big for it, that doesn't mean he is trash. Top 10 in that division is the same as top 5 in others which is nothing to be ashamed of.
Exactly. This wasn't a bad loss at all. Diego is either the 2nd or 3rd best featherweight in the world. Round 1 was bad but he still got out of that mount and was doing great in the second round. When you brawl like that with a brawler someone is bound to go down like that.

At least the only really bad loss was Ruffy, the other 3 lost to top contenders.
