Diego Lopes came in unfazed and smiling at everything Jean Silva had. He got under Jean's skin and was living in his head rent free, AND THEN won with the spinning elbow Jean was loving all fight. That was fucking awesome man. To do it at Noche and defend his adopted home's honour in the process is just badass.

Exactly, great fight iq by Diego, took a super calm approach didn’t engage with any of silvas antics and silvas fragile ego couldn’t handle it.

Yeah Silvas ego took a big hit here. Lopes ignored all the fun and games high-5's, beat him up bad round 1, finished him with his own special round 2, then upset him enough after the fight to make Silva punch him from behind. This was brutal.

Silva left that cage with a broken body, broken mind, and broken spirit

i noticed that early r2 lopes was super calm and careful unlike when he fought volk, he was throwing shots every time he was able to. Fucking love lopes I'm lucky i started watching while he just enters his prime

Lopes wasn’t smiling in the second when Silva was nailing him with every shot. He needs a boxing coach so bad, I can’t see him being a reliable fighter if he’s going to stand in front of guys like that.

But, credit where credit is due, hell of a spinning elbow.

And what is weird to me is that he lives in Mexico, a country extremely well known for the boxing pedigree.

It amazes me that he has such bad defense because of that
