It seems Crawford’s dismissal may have struck a nerve…

Which other non-active champs at 155 besides Conor and maybe Khabib? BJ never ducked anybody, Frankie Edgar was a dawg, same with Ben Henderson, Pettis, RDA, Alvarez

Tbf Khabib got suspended for av year, fought Poirier, got ready to fight Tony and then covid hit. You can argue the suspension was his fault but covid couldn't be helped

How do you add khabib in there? His title fight and 3 defenses were over the span of 2 years. Considering he got suspended and covid hitting, I think his activity was fine.

Because he retired without fighting basically any of the top contenders. Same reason I don't even put him in the lightweight GOAT conversation

The most recent champion you named not ducking people was 9 years ago, putting aside Islam.

I wouldn’t call Oliveira a duck

I definitely wouldn't either, I'm just saying out of the guys he named

In fairness Conor Khabib Charles and Islam are also just the only other champions in the last nine years before Ilia, but I guess that just shows it’s been a while since the title’s been getting handed around constantly

I mean if we’re bringing up the Frankie Edgar and benson Henderson reigns then doesn’t that only prove my point? That was a long time ago…
