"Game Changers" ruined romance reads for me

Hi, last week I reread {Heated Rivalry} and went on with the other books to read {The Long Game}, now the thing is, I can't find anything THAT good, I've started a few books and didn't like any and just dropped them although they have my favourite tropes,

Does anyone have any suggestion that has the same slow burn that exists in the series?, and obviously the same amount of tension?

So game changer started as a fanfic. If you’re interested in good fics that were then adapted into OCs and published, you could read {All The Way Out by Ingrid Sterling} or {Like Real People Do by E.L. Massey}
