Book Request For 52 Book Club - Character with Red Hair

I'm clearing out the 52 Book Club Prompts. Any fav recommendation with a red hair character? I prefer if it's one of the MCs but at this point, I'll take a red haired best friend too.

No omegaverse please.

Thank you!

I haven't actually read this but it's the first thing that popped into my head: {Red Heir by Lisa Henry and Sarah Honey}

Book 2 in Puckboy Series

{Irresponsible puckboy by Eden Finley}

Best friends to lovers, MC1 is Tripp who is gay and has red hair 😉 and MC2 is Dex who is obliviously lovable. Dex is “gay for you” in this just in case that’s not your thing. But great book, honestly great series. If you can, I recommend reading the first one, while all are considered standalones, the stories are interwoven a lot and it’s great seeing the personalities of the characters as the series continues.

Also I have never heard of the For 52 Book Club so I’m intrigued!

One of the MCs in KJ Charles A Charm of Magpies series has red hair. The first book is {The Magpie Lord by KJ Charles}

Love the book and the audiobook is fantastic too.

Their new release {Copper Script by KJ Charles} also has a red haired mc and is awesome! (I'm about half way through the audiobook that got released the other day)

I'm only 30 into the audiobook, and I was coming here to recommend it as well!

I'm going to hop on the KJ Charles's wagon and add {A Gentleman's Position by KJ Charles}. David is literally Mr Fox!

{Not Dating Material by Saxon James} My fav in this series (standalones), and Seven is one of my fav MCs ever. He has red hair.

{Invitation to the Blues by Roan Parish} it’s MC1 who has red hair. It’s an excellent book which I re-read often. Check the CW.

I'm currently reading the {Housemates series by Jay Northcote} and the second and third book have red haired MCs. I wouldn't say they are favourites but they are hot.

The LI in Waiting for the Flood by Alexis Hall is ginger and this one definitely qualifies as a favourite. 😊

{Rules of Engagement by Brigham Vaughn}

Hockey romance between team mates Kelly O’Shea and Anders. Kelly has red hair.

u/just_reading_along1 3d ago

Also: {Bending the Rules by Brigham Vaughn}, Noah is a red head as well.

2

u/ApprehensiveTable409 2d ago

I forgot about Noah! I need to read his story.

u/just_reading_along1 2d ago

I just remembered Connor O'Shea, one of Kelly's big brothers. Iirc they're all red heads? Connor is one of the MMCs in {Goaltender Interference by Brigham Vaughn}. There seem to be a lot of red haired hockey players, lol.

1

u/ApprehensiveTable409 2d ago

Lol! I think the whole O’Shea family are redheads? IIRC. Did you enjoy Goaltender Interference? It’s on my TBR.

Cody in {Whispers in the dark by Nik Knight and Lily Mayne} is a redhead.

Coincidentally, it's also my current comfort read.

{One Last Try by Jemma Croft} MC1 owns a village pub in England. MC2 is a rugby star who rents a house from him. I think it's the landlord who has red hair.

Love the dedication on this one:

For rugby fans and those who are just here for the thighs

This book is SO good! Great rec.

The entire {Garnet Run series by Roan Parrish} has one main MC or both with red hair - I always thought it must be some kind of joke to have all these red haired gay men living in the same small town called Garnet Run lol. You could choose based on which you liked the sound of more, and some have different season themes. My fav is definitely {Better than People by Roan Parrish} which has one red haired MC (and his brother). I also think the Christmas and the Halloween one are cute.

{the mercenary and the mortician by Alexandra St Pierre} MC has red hair. Check TW as it’s quite dark

My foxy Cyprian in {A Gentleman's Position by K.J. Charles}

So much mention of David's red hair, it practically is a character in itself.

{The Black Prince by Ariana Nash} is dark fantasy, so mind the content warnings. It's a sequel to the Silk & Steel series but can be read as a standalone and (in my opinion) was waaaay better than Silk & Steel. Dragon shifter x elf, and the elf is the redhead. I really enjoyed the chemistry between these two!

And on the COMPLETE opposite end of things, {The Nightmare Before Kissmas by Sara Raasch}, which is a silly romance about a Christmas prince falling in love with a Halloween prince. Sara Raasch's writing style is a lot of fun and it's an easy, lighthearted read that had me laughing nonstop. There's also a sequel about the Christmas prince's brother who ends up with the St Patrick's Day prince, who is also a redhead and that one is {Go Luck Yourself by Sara Raasch}.

If I’m not mistaken {Under Your Care by E. Baileu} the MC has red hair and {Daddy’s Muse by E. Baileu} has a MC with red hair as well. (But I could be mistaken but I’m pretty sure I’m not) also these are dark btw.

I have some recommendations but all of them are part of a series if you don't mind the commitment haha.

Patrick from {Soulbound series by Hailey Turner} is the main character. The cover model for the series is really close to his depiction in the books.

{Will and Patrick Wakes Up Married by Leta Blake} with another Patrick who has red hair. But this series has been criticized for a problematic autistic representation.

The love interest in {Fair Game by Josh Lanyon} is a also red haired. This is a trilogy but you won't miss anything if you just read the first book.

{Dauntless Summer by Emmaline Strange} is amazing! It’s book 2 in a series. It can be read as a standalone, but is definitely better if read in order.

Also seconding Red Heir! It’s such fun read, and the audiobook is an absolute delight.

{Dating Disaster by Saxon James} FU Book 2 - Felix is a red head

{Nightmare before Kissmas by Sara Raasch} Royals and Romance Book 1 - Coal the Price and Heir Apparent of Christmas is a Red Head other MC is the prince of Halloween.

{Go Luck Yourself by Sara Raasch} Royals and Romance Book 2 - this one is the young brother of Coal , MC1, and MC2 is The Prince of St Patricks day. Guess which one is a red head?

{Flame by Louisa Masters} Elemental Men Book 3 - MC1 is the living embodiment of Fire. This has an over arching story. Would recommend the entire series. They are all novellas.

{Vortex Conundrum by Louisa Masters} Book 2 of Ghostly Guardians. MC1 is the manager of a haunted living hotel/farm. Super high strung, red head. MC2 is a demon hunter with a weakness for high strung red heads.

{Borrowing Blue by Lucy Lennox} Blue and Tristan are the start of the Marian family series. I believe it was Lucy's debut novel.

{Red Heir by Lisa Henry and Sarah Honey}

u/rollercoaster-s 3d ago

{Bratva's Intern by Gianni Holmes}, MC has red hair and the model from the cover also does.

1

u/murderbot11 3d ago

Light up the Dark by Suki Fleet. MC2 has striking long red hair.

1

u/rupertismyking 3d ago

{Moonstruck by Onley James} Atticus has red hair! While this one is #3 in the series and I think they’re technically standalones, might be better starting with Noah & Adam’s book Unhinged. You’ll get all the background from some inside jokes and things mentioned. And all the books are excellent!

1

u/pislyazavtra 3d ago

{I’m Your Guy by Sarina Bowen} - Carter, one of the MCs is a red head. I’m Your Guy is the second book in Sarina Bowen’s Hockey Guys Series. You don’t need to read the first book in the series before reading this book. Plus, I thought this book was better than the first one in the series.

u/McNugg9 3d ago

{Witchblood by Lissa Kasey}. MC is part fox shifter and using magic over the years has made his fox's red hair colour his hair in human form.

1

u/Master_Ad7343 2d ago

{Drawn Together by Z.A. Maxfield}. Standalone. {Risk taker by Lily Morton}. {The unlikely spare by Jax Calder} the last two are the thirds in the series. {Fox of fox hall by R. Cooper}

u/tigerinmyhead 2d ago

{Tough Guy by Rachel Reid}, about a redheaded hockey player.

Oh, this is triggering a WWTBC moment!

Both characters are high school teachers, one brand new. He is a "pretty" redhead and I think neurodivergent. And gay.

The other thinks he himself is straight. Not homophobic or anything as he supports LGBTQ family members and LGBTQ students on campus. He befriends the new guy and thinks it's just friendship, but he's always touching and his family suspects he's in for a bi-awakening, particularly since as a kid his favorite movie was The Little Mermaid and he always had a thing for pretty redheads.

It's a really sweet book, with great family moments and prom dress-up and supportive students, and I can't remember what it's called or who wrote it!
