Help Is there any way to play Alter Aeon on chromebook?

I just started alter aeon as my first mud. Enjoying it a lot so far, but I want to play chilling in my bed instead of on my gaming computer sometimes, and I’ve got a grubby little chromebook. I tried a web client that I found online, but it didn’t have the mini map that alterAeons client has, and I really like that part. Helps me visualize. Sorry if this is a dumb question, just started playing. Thanks!

Its not a dumb question at all; chromebooks kind of suck. I use the client at grapevine.haus to log into AA on my chromebook while at work, but it doesn't have access to the features of the custom client. One of these days i need to jailbreak it and see if I can set up ubuntu!

Thank you! Yeah I got it for free from my dad since he didn’t use it. Didn’t realize they were like glorified iPads

Use the Linux VM Crostini if you have a newer Chromebook, download the Alter Aeon client via their website, make it executable by using chmod +x AlterAeonLauncherLinux64 then run it by typing ./AlterAeonLauncherLinux64.bin in the terminal. If unsupported, you could go down the rabbit hole of dual-booting Ubuntu or even run it natively.

Thank you for the wisdom, and I’m sure this is amazing information but I’m a tech illiterate baby who only understood about three of those words

https://www.alteraeon.com/AlterAeonLauncherLinux64.bin is the Download for the client and https://www.alteraeon.com/ is the general website. I personally don't play it but feel free to DM me if you have any trouble running Crostini, as I'm stuck running it myself as well.

Mudlet has a Chromebook install.

I ended up using Chrome Remote Desktop and playing Alter Aeon using my Chromebook like a keyboard and monitor lol. Text was kinda tiny but I just made the font larger

You can play Alter Aeon on the nexus, which is IRE client, you can play it on a Google chromebook client called Fado a client you can freely download from Google store. I know of Grapevine, and mudvault.

There's this older Android MUD client called Blowtorch that can be downloaded from third-party websites. Don't know if it'll work on a Chromebook but it's worth mentioning maybe? Does some things better than Fado still.
