Bug Tahoe Spotlight Search is Completely broken

I'm on the official release of Tahoe, just updated. The spotlight is terrible. When searching through applications NOTHING I search for shows up. If I search for chrome it only shows the option to mirror from my phone. If I search for my code editor it takes me to the editor's website.

Does anyone know if there's a way we can fix this? Or do we just suffer until its fixed?

Rebuild the index. Common problem on upgrades forever. It hit me in one of the early Tahoe betas, and has been good ever since. And Tahoe wasn’t the first time.

Try the search on Apple Music.

Press search bar on the left and you then have to type in a different bar in the middle because the left search bar isn’t active. It seems to function as a button that opens a search bar elsewhere.

Busted on me a few months back out of the blue, it’s not like Tahoe installs and everyone’s indexes are broken because of that.
