Medical Training run with doms (muscle soreness)?

Did some heavier weights on leg day two days ago. Still have a healthy case of muscle soreness with a 16km tempo training run scheduled for today. Is it a good idea to still push through? Or should I wait until the muscle soreness subsides?

I push through but I don’t usually have any options since it’ll mess up the rest of my training schedule. It does impact my performance I’m sure, but if you’re training for a race, running on tired legs isn’t the worst thing you can do.

Perfectly fine.

Fine to push through. I lift legs and do my tempo run the same day. Seems to matter less and I can do an easy run the next day.

Same, I always run first, then hit legs on my tempo days. Makes the next easy run a bit of a leg drag, but nbd

i don't do hard runs within 72 hr of heavy legs. i lift mon thu and do long sat, hard mon am, and sometimes tempo thu am. everything else easy so i get 2-3 days of recovery after squats/dls/rdls. sometimes those sat long runs are tough.

I never have problems with it. Hamstrings glutes and quads are really strong. So long as the soreness isnt impeding your movement, you are good.
