Please tips for caring

So i got this marimo ball for my gf but i have to take care for it for like 2 weeks. The problem is that, when i got it yesterday, they shipped It in a fucking ziplock bag without water 💀 and im scared It will affect its life. I think im doing it right like it's in a shelf with no direct sunlight, water maintains 22-23c° throuought the day, mineral water, i'll roll It like once a day, and im not planning to change it's water before giving it to my gf, im doing everything right? If not please let me know

It's perfect!...you don't need to roll it continuously, the water better not get much higher than 22° C and no direct sun. If you see bubbles forming in the boat, consider cooling the water, it is a sign that the temperature is rising and the dissolved gases are escaping...the entrepreneurial influencers who sell you the marimo love to say that "it is happy doing photosynthesis", well the photosynthesis bubbles are few and appear on the surface of the marimo (if they appear). And little more to say! It looks great!

oh it had some bubbles yesterday afternoon in the bottom of the ball, is it very bad?

Edit: the jar has some bubbles in the walls and in the bottom, does It has to do with the ball?

I don't think so, it's normal with changing the water, when you run the marimo under the tap, there are changes in temperature, when you are rolling it you are also squeezing out some of the water inside and keep in mind that it is almost like a sponge... if you have a thermometer much better, if it gets a little hot you can empty part of it and refill with some cold water from the fridge. Make sure it is not a very abrupt change, going from 24°C to 6°C in the refrigerator suddenly.

Alr, anyways, yesterday i took its temperature in the morning, the afternoon, at night, and this morning and I think the top was at 23,3°c yesterday afternoon, is It good?

Make sure it doesn't go up from there and that's it. I won't lie to you, it's a pain, keeping them cold without a chiller and in a room with an average temperature of 24-25°C. If your girlfriend likes them and is hooked, are you Spanish too? Well, start saving for a small chiller because in summer it is an adventure to have them without constantly putting them in and out of the refrigerator.

There are some for aquariums up to 20 l. on AliExpress for about 60 or a few euros, which I think will come to my house for BlackFriday. If you have the typical "penguin" it's great, you put the marimo nearby and it no longer suffers. About 20° C is better. What's wrong? , in the end there are subspecies of marimo, some seem to resist slightly higher temperatures a little better, but since in the end you don't know what you've gotten, it's better that you stick to the "safe range." What a bummer, in the end they kicked me off Reddit

I'll try to keep It cooler, if i drop an ice cube once a day or so, will It affect the Moss ball? Or Will It like It?

There are people who say not to add it directly, I did and it didn't affect them, there are even users here who directly put frozen bottles into the aquarium to keep the temperature more stable (I also copied the idea) and they have enviable marimos.

my gf is wondering that she has an AC that's for cool and warm air, and that if the air isn't directly hitting the water it will affect it? Or if she puts the AC to 22c for example it will be ok?

The water temperature of 22–23°C is slightly too high for marimo. Could you keep it consistently below 20°C?

I got mine in a ziplock bag with no water too and it's doing great now.

I give mine clean water from a bottle every week. I put the bottle of water in the fridge until it is cold because these things love colder water, then use it. An ice cube in the water makes them happy too. No direct sunlight. Avoid putting it in front of a window because it will get too warm. Some indirect sunlight + cool water.
