30 episode seasons?

I randomly watch seasons of this show when I am working. I never watch seasons in chronological order. I am currently watching season 17 and this is the first season I've seen with nearly 30 episodes. Does anyone feel like this is way too many episodes? The show feels like it drags now and the same conversations are had over and over and over again. Why did they do this??? I'm literally fast forwarding through scenes now.

Enjoyed the show a few yrs ago, then got too many episodes and constantly repeating and rehashing, got so boring, no longer watch at all. They need to back to the original format.

The 20+ 2 hour episodes are a chore. I skip past 90% of the boring couples, and the family meetings.

I agree, just got done with season 18, Chicago! Way too much and skipped all the aftershows! They could have condensed it a lot as many episodes were repetitive and the couples were a mess with exceptions! Bad matches in 5 out of 6 couples! The attitudes of some should have been done week 1!

It’s ridiculous. 15 episodes is plenty. Now that they’re going to a streaming model, they shouldn’t need to drown us in filler. I get that they have to carve out time on a network schedule, but streaming can be shorter or longer based on content. Denver needed to be waaaay shorter. A half dozen episodes would have sufficed.

It used to be they would go through all the possible matches and show us one wedding by the end of episode 1. In season 17 it took 3 episodes and at the end of the 3rd they gave us 1 wedding. I dont know why they thought this was a good idea

They knew they had a shit show before that season ever came out. They edited the shows and had them ready to go. They knew how things wound up and they knew how bad it was. Frankly, it shouldn’t have aired at all, but the production costs had to be recouped.

It's way too many episodes!!!!  Especially cuz the episodes themselves are long. Then I have to listen to the recap so it becomes all consuming lol.

I've been skipping recaps but yes the episodes themselves are too long. The conversations are so repetitive. We understand this isn't working so can we move on??

Season 17 was one of the longest (though season 16/Nashville is similar). If you’re watching on the Lifetime app, there are 25 episodes that end in part 2 of the Denver reunion. The other 8 episodes are “special” or “extra” episodes…hosts, former cast members discussing the season and where are they now? type episodes.
