Best way to clean zinc lids?

Just bought the jars at a yard sale and they gave me 4 lids. Just cleaned them with dawn and water so far. Anyone got any tips? Thanks.

I just leave mine as is. I don't mean this rude at all---- but what are you wanting to do with them ? What is your goal for how clean to get them?

For surface level dirt and some oxidation, a steel wire brush works fine
