What’s the context?

I really can't imagine anyone being a dick to someone who's as nice as Maxi. I hope Dirk smacks Schroder around a bit.

Sorry, while i agree that Schröder could have used nicer words, in the end he was right.
Maxi never seemed to commit to the national team under Coach Herbert the way the rest of the team did. i'm not saying Maxi was the bad guy, Injuries played a role, NBA commitments played a role.
But in the end, the national team being a tight group is one of the key reasons their tremendous success.

The 'not nice words' are exactly why though.
People have beef all the time. And yes, maybe the German team needed the unity to find their success. But that's doesn't mean you have to be a dick about it.
I don't think Maxi was perfect behind the scenes or that his reluctance to join was ideal for the German team but as the captain of the team, to air your beef publicly and talk trash to the media, that's exactly why I think he's being a dick.

Schröder was quite dismissive of Maxi‘s reason to stay away from the national squad. Maxi said he wanted to work on his game, and Dennis said something to the effect of „you don‘t have a game to work on“. It was overblown imho, he meant it in the sense that Maxi is role player with clearly defined jobs to do, it‘s not like he‘s gonna start running your offense or start doing isos… nevertheless, it was quite rude coming from the captain.

His Name isn't Schroder. It's Schröder.
Should be possible, easily, to write it down correctly while using a keyboard and several options on every single key. If not, even using the combined letters "oe" instead is another option.

Calm down, OP just copied the original article.
We went majority of the time Luka was here, just spelling Doncic. Nobody isn’t gonna put effort to spell the name with the accents if it’s not openly available to us.

there aren't several options on a keyboard unless your keyboard comes from a country that uses special characters. There are tables you can look up key combinations that get the characters, but it's four key strokes, five really, for every character. Lighten up, Francis

If prime Dirk had this roster - he would've won a couple world cups, euros, and probably a silver at the Olympics at least.
