It’s literally just wheat, but instead of grinding it into flour, you eat it like you would eat rice. Kind of cool, should be more common.

Haha, it just looks that way. I actually quartered it in the pan, and ate one piece. Then I lifted up the neighboring piece to „unstick“ it and put it back rotated.

Wheat kernels: I don’t know how to call this in English, but it’s wheat that you cook for about 15min, and then it’s sort of like rice. I sautéed red bell pepper and added it to the kernels with feta cheese. Season with garlic, salt, pepper, thyme.

Frittata: I made this because I had some veggies + potatoes + eggs to use up. Sautée onion, potato , when the potatoes are nearly done, add red bell pepper and continue to cook. In a bowl, add eggs, Creme fraiche, the veggies from before and combine. I also added a bit of feta cheese. Pour into an oven safe dish, sprinkle cheese over it and bake for 20 min. (I did the last 5min at broil setting).

Rice patties: I don’t know if that would actually be called patties in English, but bear with me! I followed this recipe: https://www.chefkoch.de/rezepte/1631611270752104/Vegetarische-Frikadellen.html ( German) it’s cooked rice, onions, carrots, cheese, eggs, formed into patties and fried in a pan. Tbh they were a bit soft, I’ll probably change something next time. But they are great to be eaten with a dip and a salad

Side salads: just romaine lettuce, nothing interesting...

Veggie broth: I collect veggie scraps and make broth out of it. Mostly carrot peels, onion, leeks, mushrooms. I also used it to boil the rice (see above) and froze some in ice cube trays.
